As someone else whom wrote a review was unfortunate enough to experience- I also lost my knife. I bought it in 2003 at an AAFES location, I believe at BIAP (Baghdad International Airport). I carried that knife every single day until it and my Maroon Beret slipped from the cooling fan tower into the engine bay/belly of the Light Armored Vehicle my Active National Guard Narcotics unit had. This was right before going on another deployment and the engine would have had to be removed to get to the Beret and Knife. Shortly after I returned, the LAV was turned in to the Army for disposition to a law enforcement agency somewhere in the country. If you happen to be reading this and find a maroon beret with a yellow flash, outlined in blue, with two lightening bolts in the center... and a well worn Auto-Stryker, find a way to contact me through Benchmade!!

Anyway, the knife itself was bullet-proof. There wasn't anything I could do to it, that it didn't take in stride. Though I miss my first ever maroon beret, I think I might miss my knife more. I'm going to have to order a replacement soon, now that I know they are still made (although just slightly different than I remember).
