I really wanted a 940 osborne, when benchmade came out with the 940-2 with g10 handles I thought I should get it, It's $12 cheaper than the standard 940 and the g10 won't show wear as much. It is a great knife and I am happy with it, there were 3 minor flaws, the handle scale on the butterfly side of the knife was a little loose, it's very hard to notice, the other thing was that the axis bar lock was just a little loose, but there was no blade play in any direction, so it doesn't affect the use of the knife, these are just minor gripes because of the price, I wouldnt mention it if it were a $90 griptilian, overall I love the knife and I will never part with it, such a beautiful design.

This knife exceeded my expectations. I'm eagerly awaiting the deep carry clips but the rep could not have been more helpful or efficient. I needed a better daily knife and I got it. The g2 scales and overall geometry keeps it slipping in and out of pocket easily. This and the light weight were big selling points.

The knife is extra light and very rigid. It opens easily but isn't sloppy. I like how it deploys and over time it will just get better without lube. My understanding is there is a bronze surface in that pivot, maybe bushing, dunno. No adjustment needed. It opens and closes just fine for me.

The blade is very sharp. Super easy to open safely. Blade is perfectly centered and ground symmetrically best I can tell. The axis lock works with one or two hands. It's different than any other lock I've had but is intuitive. This is a major upgrade for my goto knife. I'm looking forward to using it in the coming weeks.

I received this knife a last week and upon arrival I was ecstatic to finally get my hands on it. After my initial excitement wore off and I began using it as an EDC I got to know the ins and outs of its ability. The first minor imperfection of the knife I noticed was that the blade was not centered, not just off a tad but almost rubbing on the left scale. Although this doesn't affect the ability of the knife in any way it still bothers my inner OCD especially consider the high price tag of the piece. Next I noticed that the edge of the blade at the tip was microscopically bent to one side making small slices and precise cutting difficult. If I had something to sharpen it I could eliminate it in no time but for now I must deal with it. Other then those two little things this knife is amazing. The green anodized standoffs pair astonishingly well with the new G10 scales.
