So I already review this knife, and mentioned that I broke the belt clip in a few months. So, I called Benchmade prepared to "press 1" a few times. Instead a very nice lady answered; I told her I want to get replacement clip, and she transferred me to another nice lady. That lady "put me in the system" and then said "we'll send you a handful, is there anything else I can do for you?"
It was so fast I was still shocked that people answered the phone when we were done.
And guess what, couple of weeks later belt clip and screws showed up at my house!
So again if you need a knife and don't have a really good one. This is by far the best company to do business with. Actual people you can talk too and do exactly what you need them to do. 5 stars!

I spent a lot of time considering the size of this knife. Make no bones, its a beast in all aspects. Laid next to my Barrage, it is a whole scale thicker. But this is not a knife for the skinny jean wearing man. I purchased this knife because I wanted fixed blade strength in a folding package. This is a 100% work knife. It pries screws out of scissor lift tires, cuts open countless boxes of hardware and shrink wrapped pallets. The D2 steel is a proper material for my needs. I throw it on the honing rods every night and the fine diamond every few weeks and it stays sharp enough to cut hair with little effort to maintain it. The auto action is snappy and it locks into position with authority. It took a week of use to get the Axis lock/release to be able to operate one handed without digging into my thumb, but it has broken in nicely. The blade does not wobble or have any slop in it. Ive used it every day for about a month and a half now, and it cannot complain. Its hefty, but if you need a knife this heavy duty, you wont be concerned with it. It has been my EDC since I received it, and I dont see myself changing it.

Love the size of this knife. It's big, fills my large hands nicely. It kind of grabs you back with the square edges and grooves in all the right places. This knife is a EDC and sees firefighting duty. Would be all 5 stars, but it's a little pricey and the pocket clip broke after only a few months. That damn clip has pretty much poked a hole in everything I've sat in. Really, if you need a severe duty knife, this is the one. Pretty sure this will be the last knife that I will ever need to buy. As long as I don't lose it.

Let's be clear about something, I'm a Georgia girl living in a Tennessee world where guns and knives are everything. I've had the Adamas Auto for over a year now and have not a damn thing to complain about it! The Axis system is still extremely strong! The knife is not as sharp know because I've put it through its paces. Sadly, if you're not LEO or Military you can't send it back to Benchmade to have it sharpened (not their fault, its just the law of their state that they operate in). Whether you're LEO, Military, Security Contractor (like I am), or just a patriot with a job that requires an extremely excellent knife, the Adamas family will absolutely NOT disappoint. It is rather large but it's something I got used to. I will be purchasing the manual version for when I travel. BUY THIS KNIFE AND ONLY THIS KNIFE!!!!

Go somewhere and put this weapon in your hand. Handle it some, feel the train like action, the lock up, the power.Think about what D2 steel is. This knife grabs you, it is unique in its force controlled by quality. I do not think there are others like it. I have bought 3 of these knives and given them to my best friends. When they get them they know they are my best friends. Rangers lead the way............in knives too

I own many different brands of knives.
I own several Benchmade Knives and I can say without any doubts or reservations that Benchmade Knives are the absolute finest quality knives and I would venture to say the best in the world.
The AUTO-ADAMAS is a very exceptional tool and one of the finest and strongest knives in my collection.
It is beefy, heavy, and razor sharp.
I don't like the AXIS opening system as much as a push button, but it doesn't take anything away from the quality and the functionality of this amazing instrument of perfection.
The molle sheath that is included with the knife is just as rugged and made with very high quality.
My version is the flat dark earth/beige handle with a black coated blade with serrated edges.
I recommend the AUTO-ADAMAS to anyone who wants a beast of a knife that will handle any task from hand-to-hand combat in battle, to cutting through most everything with ease.
I can shave with this knife.
I can shave the hair off of my arms and it's so razor sharp it's almost scary!
If you just look at and hold this knife you can tell by the craftsmanship that this knife will last a lifetime.
You could pass this down to a loved one long after you are gone.
It's just that incredible!
5 star rating!

I first purchased the adamas fixed blade because I liked the look and appreciated the fact that a percentage of the proceeds went to a noble and honorable cause and was very curious to see the quality that benchmade offered. when recieving the knife i was stunned with the quality and sharpness of the blade as it truly surpassed my expectations. In a mishap of forgetfulness i left the blade outside when using it to cut some things around the farm and gave it up reluctantly for lost. I immediately ordered the 275 folder and it has been my edc from then on. I have used this knife at work as a heavy truck and equipment mechanic where i have put it through what would be serious abuse for a lesser blade. I have cut through 3/4 inch battery cables by hitting the spine with a hammer,it chopped trough like butter with a perfectly clean cut and sustained negligible damage,(a nick in the spine 1/16" due to my inaccuracy and only slightly dulling the blade edge.) I have other examples of the ridgidity however it would take too long to explain lol. I found the fixed blade a few months and rainstorms later lying outside my house in the dirt, to my surprise the knife showed no signs of corrosion! Benchmade has sriously earned a lifelong loyal customer already based solely upon quality as i have yet to have to deal with any type of customer service but i hear that in that area they excell as well. I just purchased the barrage yesterday and look forward to its continued use for years to come if not for life lol. I personally will never buy a cutting tool from any other company so long as Benchmade keeps doing things the way they do.

This thing is a tank.. i easily cut thru fiber drums, including the metal ring, and its still sharp. I even use a hammer on the back of the blade to get thru the metal. Has scratched the black off but I'll send it in and pay $40 for new blade when needed.awsome quality

The Adamas is a heavy duty carry. I have an Infidel, and this is a notch below the infidel on the protective carry list. I only use it when fishing/hunting/outdoors and may or may not want to rely on my sidearm. It is quite suitable in that case.

This knife is awesome!! It is one of the best folding knives money can buy. I really like the thick D2 steel blade, not to mention it came hair popping sharp out of the box. This thing is built like a tank. If you are looking for a heavy duty folder for hard work or self defense, look no further, get the Adamas.

I have owned a bunch of folders but this knife is the strongest, sharpest knife of them all. I have owned this blade going on a year and half and it holds it's edge so well I haven't had to sharpen it yet. Not bad for a knife any knife. The auto opener has so much energy that the knife will jump out of you hand if your not careful. The auto-open lock has proved to be a very intelligent idea and has saved the unwary non authorized user an number of times. The fish on the blade is exceptionally tough and to date has not scratched off like other lesser knives. All thinks being equal this is one tough knife! Not to mention the Benchmade pledge to give back to the families of community that uses it. Way to go! Benchmade, and thank you

This knife started my obsession with benchmade. . I've beat the crap out of this knife and it's still solid.. I plan to send it in to get a new blade as i scratched it up pretty good. I cut a fiber drum in half thru the metal ring and all just to see what it can do.. also cut thru 1/4" allumiminum plates with ease. . D2 is an awsome steel..

Weight and shape feel good in your hands, opening mechanism is smooth as butter. Blade holds an edge like nothing else and I have not met something that it does not cut through with ease yet. This was my first Benchmade, it will never get anything less than a 10/10 and I will always recommend it.

This is my second Benchmade but by far the nicest folder I've ever owned. I got the plain edge manual lock. This thing is just a beast! lockup is solid, function is smooth as glass and it holds very comfortably in the hand. I bought this knife to serve and EDC function, and despite it weighing in at half a pound it carries comfortably. I also carry a Glock 30, so maybe I'm just not bothered by a little extra size and weight. Either way any clothing with a belt holds the knife comfortably. I especially like the amount and placement of the gimping on the handle. No matter what position you hold it in, you will have a solid grasp on it. My only thing I doubt is the ability of the G10 scales to hold up to impact. I've had G10 scales crack off when dropped on concrete. But bottom line, I would be very confident using this knife for anything from self defense to breaking out car window to cutting anything short of the side of a vehicle open.

This knife is a high quality tool. You can tell this is built by people who love their job. Knife is very sharp and heavy duty. The auto opening is fast and very powerful it's gonna open when you need it most. I have had a Gerber auto open that I have trusted my life to and carried every day in and out of uniform. My Gerber now feels like a cheap toy compared to the Benchmade. Has great grip so no worries about slipping out of my hands.one happy paratrooper here keep up the great work.

I just bought this knife but I can already tell it is the best folder I own! I have two Benchmades but the ADAMAS is fantastic. The operation and lock are superior. It fits in my pocket nicely and I can deploy the blade in a second for an everyday personal carry knife. You can tell how well it's designed by the pocket clip to the opening pin. The lock release is so smooth, and overall it has some weight and feels great in my hand. It slices paracord or anything else like butter. If I could only have one folder in a survival scenario this would be it. Can wait to use this knife in the winter on my snowmobile and camping adventures in the backcountry here in the Sierra's! I feel like this is a survival tool I'll have with me for many years to come. A plus for overall blade, sharpness, and handle design!

I've been using Benchmade knives since I was in the military 20 years ago. This is my 4th knife from your company. While I like all of the knives I've purchased (Griptilian, SOCP Dagger, salt water dive, etc) this is without a doubt my favorite. It's big and heavy and somewhat clumsy in appearance however when I hold it, it fits perfectly and comfortably in my hand. The extra weight helps to cut without effort, and the mechanism is so sturdy that when the knife is open it feels like a fixed blade. Great job Benchmade, I will be buying the Adamas fixed blade simply because I'm so impressed with this folder.

This knife has been with me everyday for the past 5 years. There hasn't been anything it hasn't been able to handle and I have sharpened it once. Yes its big and its heavy but so what. You want some heft when you have a larger blade to work with. The lock-up is rock solid and theres zero play in the knife. Ive dropped it on concrete and it barely has a scratch. My Adamas is going back to bench made for a resharpen within the next month. I figure 5 years is long enough without needing sharpened. Ill miss it badly while its gone.

I bought the Adamas for a daily carry and normal use. I absolutely love it. While it does have some weight to it (i happen to like it) and its a bigger knife (also a plus) it sits in pocket very nicely. I loved it so much i bought one for a friend as well. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a beefy knife. The Adamas is not for everyone.

I'm really impressed with this knife. I carried an older automatic 2551 for years and loved it. By the time I was ready for an upgrade, and after much research and watching videos stress testing and reviewing, I chose the automatic Adamas, and absolutely love it, more than the previous one I carried. It seemed a little on the hefty side when I first got it but before the end of the first day it felt perfect in my pocket, fits well in my hand and the action of the blade opening actually has some force and authority to it.
The blade came very sharp and with a little work was easily made much sharper..
I'm very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a sturdy and strong edc knife.

My only gripe is blade finish, I would have preferred the option of a satin finish but the black finish still looks good

I bought my Adamas for a deployment I went on in 2013 to Afghanistan. I used it just about everyday for something. It has been a great knife since and I would definitely buy it again. Its size would be my only complaint but I got use to it very quickly. It is a little bit of a hoss.

I bought this knife looking for a hard use knife to have and one i could carry everyday if I wanted. I found that found that in this knife for sure. Heavy duty yet very comfortable for everyday carry. Cuts through anything I throw at it and relatively easy to sharpen. This knife if amazingly tough. I have had my first one for almost a year now and there is still no play in it anywhere. Blade action is still as smooth as the day I bought it. Benchmade hit a home run with this one. I liked it so much I bought another 275 and I bought the fixed blade version 375. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a rock solid knife that's gonna last a lifetime. Great job Benchmade.

I've been looking for a knife that would be good to carry everyday. After researching different knives for nearly a month I found this knife. I went to the extreme of watching torture tests, comparing the weight and taking blade length measurements of knives I already own.

I was a little concerned about the weight and size of the knife, but after carrying it my concerns disappeared. This knife is reasonably flat for its size and it wears so comfortably I occasionally check my pocket to make sure I haven't left it laying somewhere at work.

The knife is extremely sharp straight out of the box. I nearly gave myself razor burn while shaving hairs off my arm. The locking mechanism is very smooth and sturdy. The blade has not met anything that it will not cut yet. Recently I cut through 8 layers of 1,800 pound nylon strapping. It went through most of the stack with a single pass.

I'm confident this knife will last a very long time. If you buy it, you will not be disappointed.

The Adamas brings an unparalleled essence to the knife community, Derived from the meaning, hardest surface found in nature. The Adamas takes an apocalyptical beating and still returns to the former sharpness of a factory edge. Time and time again I open this knife and the lock up of a custom made knife is found on a factory blade. Benchmade has built a knife that represents the name of a hand made knife, quality and control is their motto. Well done benchmade, I found my unicorn knife!
