This knife is super sharp and has an incredibly smooth action. I do have two problem though with it. 1) when in my pocket the thumb nub faces down vs up so when I pull the knife out of my pocket it can catch thereby exposing a very sharp knife. I have cut my finger once when not aware of the problem. 2) A sign of a superior quality knife assembly is in the amount of wiggle in the blade. My benchmade and boker (both new) have some back and forth play but my 12+ year old Spyderco has none.

Nonetheless I do really like my super sharp, super smooth Grizzly Creek and give it two bandaged thumbs up.

I decided to purchase the Grizzy Creek based on the function (fold-out gut hook), quality and Benchmade reputation. I was not disappointed. I immediately realized how sharp the blade actually was just from zipping through paper and my finger. NOTE: Don't try and "flip close" the blade if your finger is in the way. You know a blade is sharp when you barely feel the cut and until you see the blood start. Very clean cut by the way. The good news is that it worked just was well on the whitetails. The gut hook worked better than others I've tried and I really like that you can use it independent of the blade. It is much easier to use when the blade can be folded away. The blade also made quick work of skinning. Very pleased with the performance and look of this knife.

This is my third Benchmade product and I could not be happier. I went to a gun store and when I saw this knife I knew I had to have it. My first Benchmade was a simple pocket knife and was still working after 2 years, my second one got stolen unfortunately but still was awesome. And not this one. I love the feeling. It definitely holds an edge and I can shave my beard with it literally. Simply awesome, I will soon be buying more from Benchmade.

I purchased this knife to gut and skin whitetail deer. I could not be happier! This knife is very sharp and holds an edge. The blade size and gut hook are perfect for deer sized game. The knife is well built and you can tell when handling this knife there is no blade slop and the locking mechanism is trusty. The diamond wood is esthetically pleasing and very easy to keep clean. This will not be my last Bench Made Knife!!

I am military but wanted a knife that was durable and strong but had the classic appearance versus a standard Army knife. I found the Hunt Series Grizzly Creek, and I think it is great. It is strong, durable, maintains a sharp edge, easy to pocket, and for the cost is a great knife. It also has that classic look and feel just like my first knife as a kid. Definitely one to recommend to anyone.

I love the look, feel, and overall quality of this knife. Its razor sharp and holds an edge very well. However, my only complaint is that after I field dress a deer and clean it, the action is very stiff and its hard to open, unless I leave both blades open and let it air dry a few hours. Otherwise, I cannot complain.

Hands down, probably one of the best knives I have ever owned. It's great for hunting and it did the job just the other day when I had to gut a deer. The gut hook worked great and the blade itself stayed locked (would you expect any less?) and sliced and diced like a razor. My only complaint comes after the fact. I cleaned the blade right after field dressing my buck as to remove all the visible blood, however, this morning when I went to use it, my blade wouldn't even open. After removing the scales and giving it a good cleaning, it was like new, but if I am going to have to continue to take it apart just to clean off all the dried blood in the future, I may begin to start preferring a Hunt. series fixed blade.

With my line of work and just everyday activities, I was looking for a good quality knife that I could carry everyday and that I knew would last me a long time. I've always bought $30 or $40 knives that seem to be OK for a while but they always seem to malfunction eventually or just never seem to hold an edge very long. So finally I decided to take a leap and invest in what I thought would be a great knife I knew could last me and perform up to my standards, and man was I right. I bought the grizzly creek folder about 5 months ago and I couldn't be happier! I use this knife everyday and its still looks and feels like it just came out the box!! I have even dropped it on a steel deck and it didn't put a scratch on it! This thing is a mini work horse let me tell you. It holds a blade edge like no other. About once every few weeks I give her a few brushes on the bottom of a ceramic coffee cup and it sharpens back to a razor edge that will shave your arm. This is hands down the best knife I have ever purchased, I use it multiple times a day and can't sing it enough praises. Awesome awesome knife, great job Benchmade

Thought long and hard about spending that much on a knife. Best decision I ever made! I am 55 years old and been carrying a pocket knife since I was three, so I have some experience to rely on. I have owned many knives over the years and this is by far the best knife I have put to use so far. The steel holds an edge and is easy to sharpen, the wood handles are large and don't slip, and the opening is smooth as butter. The locking mechanism is the best I have ever seen, there is nothing worse than having a lock fail on you when your 50+ miles from the nearest help. This locking mechanism is as good as a fixed blade. I have always heard about how good the Benchmade quality but was unsure until I put it to the test. I use a knife everyday from cleaning fingernails to cutting leather and can't wait try out the gut hook.

I highly recommend this knife not only for hunting, but also as an everyday pocket knife!
