This knife has been the perfect additions to my hunting pack. Having carried several knives in the past including Case, Buck, Gerber and some customs, this knife has earned a full time place in the pack. The size and shape of this knife allows great control when processing game animals. I have used the knife on 3 white tail deer this year and it has held a great edge with only a light touch up. The handle fits the hand well and the blade length and shape are very controllable when working around guts and internals. 2 thumbs up from me.

I don't agree with "Mike's " review of this knife. The size of the knife gives the hunter better control of the knife. Especially when your are field dressing game. In critical areas where a larger knife can, and has, puncture, intestines and other parts of the animal. I hunt with multiple knifes, but I use this knife while field dressing all my game, big or small. It is not a youth knife.

Knife is very small. Not good for big game like they claimed. Wanted to return it but benchmade wanted to charge me a 20% restock fee as well as I would pay shipping. Very basic knife not very sharp at all not good for hunting. Very cheap looking and very cheap feel. And all around not a good hunting knife. Would not buy if planing on using on big game like deer. Might be a good knife for a young teen hunting squirrel.

What I love about this knife is its weight, size and most of all its blade. The radius is what makes this one a mean machine. (not mentioning steel) I field dressed an entire elk with this lil' bugger and came back the next day to bone out some of it before we packed out. I could not have been more impressed with it. It is amazing at removing meat in the field. Not that it was very necessary, but I did slide it across a ceramic hone a few times after all its work and now I can't wait to use it again. I must stress the importance of the blade radius as it is excellent at doing work in the field. Compact, light and ridiculously effective. I like it much better than the steep country style blade. Might buy another even tho I don't really need one!

My knife (with G10 and Kydex sheath) arrived today sooner than I expected; it's nice when you're one state away. Initial impression of the knife is that it's a great little blade. The knife arrived very sharp and ready to go right out of the GIGANTIC box. We have a 3" blade limit behind the wire (SWFPAC USN) so I got this to give me a fixed blade option. The sheath was what I expected after reading several reviews. There is no place along my belt that will allow the horizontally sheathed knife to lay flat, and wearing it would likely ruin whatever shirt or jacket that's hanging down over it. There IS a solution though! A couple ALICE clips through the leather loop will allow you to belt carry it; although it'll ride pretty high it works great.

This is plenty of knife for field dressing medium sized game. I have used the knife twice, this season, to field dress a pronghorn and mule deer buck. The knife worked very well, held its edge, and fit nicely in my hand. A great value for the price. The sheath is well made, but I can't say I'm overly thrilled with the way it wears horizontally off a waist belt. I wish the sheath was also offered in a vertical hang configuration. Otherwise, a great knife!

The knife itself is fantastic. Very small and made from great materials, holds an edge and is very resilient.
The sheathe is good, but I would like to see some type of synthetic sheathe offered in the future. I gave the knife 4 stars on quality because the leather sheathe is the only option. While the sheathe is well made, I spent a couple of weeks with it out in the wild on survival or hunting trips and after it got wet it stretched out significantly and some of the threads holding it together started coming apart. I tried to keep it dry and protected but sometimes it can't be helped. After it would get wet, I tried to dry it out as best I could but it just wasn't up to the challenge. I understand that this is a property of leather and I should have thought about that before taking it on the trips, but I wish there was a synthetic one available to prevent this sort of occurrence.
