An absolute tank. This is my first axis lock, and definitely not my last. The 808 is solid in every aspect, from the S30V steel, the beefy frame, solid lock up with no worry of failure, the grippy contoured G10 scales, and unique hardware giving it more custom feel. I have no worries carrying this knife on the trails as well as out on the town, the deep carry clip helps conceal this beast in a pocket, but trust me, you'll know its there from the sheer heft of it. Two thumbs up!

I've had an auto stryker in my pocket since 2010 and it's still in perfect form and function but I was ready for a change (mostly to upgrade in steel). I did lots of research, spent hours on YouTube looking at reviews and this won it for me for blade shape, the axis lock and especially the ergos. I have zero regrets. The 808 came as advertised. Super Beefy, yet comfortable to carry and the handle ergos are phenomenal. This is my first experience with the Axis lock and it delivers. Super smooth to open and close with a sure lockup,no play in any direction. It came perfectly centered and semitry was well executed. It will come a tad stiff when you first get it but don't make any adjustments. Just play with it a bit and it'll break right in to butter smooth. If I choose, I don't even have to use the axis locket to open, just a firm flick of the wrist. Top notch designs guys, she's a keeper for sure!

This is an amazing knife. Big, bold and elegant. I am an avid knife collector and I was fortunate to get a first production run of this knife. Normally I would not EDC this knife but that would be a shame, so into my pocket she goes. Razor sharp out of the box like every Benchmade I've purchased make this knife a winner!

I want to commend the designer of this knife! This is the most well thought out design for both function and ergonomics I've seen in recent history. The G-10 scales on this blade are not too grippy to the point it is a hassle to get in and out of your pocket, nor are they too slick. They provide a perfect surface to hold on to no matter what the task at hand happens to be. Not only that but the contour of the grip makes this knife fit in hand like nothing I've handled in the past. Big beefy blade, solid lockup, and lets face it a SEXY a** blade! This departure of traditional Benchmade design is certainly a win! Somehow this monster is not a pocket hog or overly heavy for EDC. I read that this was an in house design, so to that I say well done Benchmade. Well done indeed.

This is a beefy package, the blade is thick and the handles are great, perfect for guys with big hands, can cut, stab, or chop with this rascal and for a big blade it's pretty light, for an axis lock it locks up super tight but almost think a liner lock would have been better, all in all she gets a 10 out of 10

It fits my hands so nicely, and it opens so smoothly. Looks fierce, and love the CPM-S30V steel used.
