I've had this for a few months now and i can't stop carrying it. As an EDC it's perfect. Want a flipper, you got a flipper. Want a stout blade, you got a stout blade. Want one of the best steels, you got one of them. The blade shape is perfect for nearly anything. The blade grind is really well thought out in keeping it the full tang thickness up 3/4" of the blade. The blade thickness is perfect medium for slicing and also being able to take some "abuse". I love the flipper tab and the finger choil it creates after opening. Smooth action thanks to the thrust washer bearings installed. The monolock is a neat feature and helps in the longevity over the years and flipping and use. The 20CV steel is phenomenal at edge keeping (similar to my 940-1's S90V) and has amazing corrosion resistance. The only downside is this knife really sticks to the phrase "Jack of All Trades, Master of None". Flipper is great, but ZT has been doing them longer and are more consistent. Thin enough to slice, but much better thin profiled knives out there. Thick enough but not the strong standard of 3/16". The knife is too big to be a small EDC but it's not large enough in size to be a large EDC. BUT..every time I leave the house I'm carrying this because it suits more needs than it doesn't. If you had to have a single knife for the rest of your life, this has my recommendation every time...if you can afford it.

The proxy offers every attribute of a knife that you could want plus some. Feels great in your hand. The blade feels like butter to the touch and offers a superior factory edge. I have been a collector for many years and a dealer for the past 10. This knife is impressive. Very sleek, very bold and a definite show off masterpiece. The Flipper action functions flawlessly with a solid lock up. Without a doubt a one hand operation even considering its size. The drop point blade and overall style of this knife lures the eye to envy. I don't know if I will ever use this knife, but who cares I just love looking at it. Thanks Benchmade.
