I have been looking at this product for some time and have always believed that you get what you pay for. Been looking at an out the front knife that I can use with my non gun hand and this product fits that bill perfectly. Out of the box works wonderful and does exactly what I need as a professional.

I bought this knife in 2009 and had it sent to me in mosul Iraq. It has been through a deployment and many Field Exercises and I EDC carry it to this day as a civilian. It has NEVER failed to open, it's the glock of knives. I've owned many other brands of OTF autos and nothing compares to the ultra fast opening and superior quality locking as the benchmade infdel OTF auto. Benchmade offers the lifesharp program and I send it in twice a year to get sharpened, tuned and oiled for FREE!! you can't beat that....this knife is worth every penny they charge and i trust my life with it! Accept no substitute!

I'm an Air Force operator. Took this knife on a deployment to the Middle East and it's stood up to everything I've thrown at it. Dropped, dust storms, sand, and accidentally put it through the shitty washing machines at the Deid. Still going strong. If you're going to get an OTF knife, benchmade is a safe choice.

I own two infidels, one mini, one full. The mini is 8 years old and has never faltered, deployments, dust storms, serious heavy use still perfect and sharp, just strop. The full size I purchased from the factory store in portland, started running the edge on the inside wall, dulling the blade considerably and it slows deployment and retraction. BM service is unrivalled and be corrected as soon as I get back.

This is a follow up to a poor rating I gave the Infidel several months ago because it stopped functioning properly after only a month of carrying it. I was contacted by Benchmade customer service. (I did not call them) They asked me to return the knife for repair. They replaced the defective parts and returned it to me. I waited until now to follow-up in case the knife started giving me problems again. The knife has NOT malfunctioned at all during the last year. If you want to purchase an expensive Benchmade knife and are concerned about customer service and repair not standing behind it then you will not be disappointed. They did right by me.

Precision made and a frequent conversation piece, this knife has been a pleasure to own.
The scale and ergonomics of the knife beg to be handled often. Smooth action and flawless mechanism to date.
I certainly recommend this product to duty officers, collectors, or anyone who wants to own a unique and well constructed knife.

Picked up a Mini Infidel (black blade) and cannot say enough about the quality of this knife. This is my first Benchmade knife and it is impressive. D2 steel is a favorite of mine so that was just a plus. Highly recommended for anyone considering a quality OTF.

I bought one of the first knives like this on my second tour in Iraq I loved it! Came in handy on a daily/nightly basis always kept it on me , sadly as soon as I returned to the states and was going through demobe someone decided to steal it out of my rucksack ! Would love to acquire another one . All in all a great tool !

There are few practical everyday uses for one of these unless you like to just seriously mess up the edges on an incredible personal defense weapon. I suppose if you own a couple of them then go ahead and open the mail with one. Otherwise, I have it to carry when I go fishing/hunting/outdoors as an alternative to pulling my sidearm.
