About the product
The Adamas folding knives come in both manual and automatic and have proven to be the strongest AXIS® knives ever made. A thick blade, liners and G10 handle scales afford the knife much of it's strength. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from these knives are donated to Three Rangers and to the Navy SEAL Foundation; both organizations benefiting the members and families of special operations. MOLLE® compatible. Made in USA.

The blade over travel stop broke after a few months of using. The knife was not even being used that hard at the time (chopping small branches) very disappointed with the quality for a knife advertised as a hard working knife with advertising saying the strongest folder you can have next to a fixed blade.

So I already review this knife, and mentioned that I broke the belt clip in a few months. So, I called Benchmade prepared to "press 1" a few times. Instead a very nice lady answered; I told her I want to get replacement clip, and she transferred me to another nice lady. That lady "put me in the system" and then said "we'll send you a handful, is there anything else I can do for you?"
It was so fast I was still shocked that people answered the phone when we were done.
And guess what, couple of weeks later belt clip and screws showed up at my house!
So again if you need a knife and don't have a really good one. This is by far the best company to do business with. Actual people you can talk too and do exactly what you need them to do. 5 stars!

I spent a lot of time considering the size of this knife. Make no bones, its a beast in all aspects. Laid next to my Barrage, it is a whole scale thicker. But this is not a knife for the skinny jean wearing man. I purchased this knife because I wanted fixed blade strength in a folding package. This is a 100% work knife. It pries screws out of scissor lift tires, cuts open countless boxes of hardware and shrink wrapped pallets. The D2 steel is a proper material for my needs. I throw it on the honing rods every night and the fine diamond every few weeks and it stays sharp enough to cut hair with little effort to maintain it. The auto action is snappy and it locks into position with authority. It took a week of use to get the Axis lock/release to be able to operate one handed without digging into my thumb, but it has broken in nicely. The blade does not wobble or have any slop in it. Ive used it every day for about a month and a half now, and it cannot complain. Its hefty, but if you need a knife this heavy duty, you wont be concerned with it. It has been my EDC since I received it, and I dont see myself changing it.

Love the size of this knife. It's big, fills my large hands nicely. It kind of grabs you back with the square edges and grooves in all the right places. This knife is a EDC and sees firefighting duty. Would be all 5 stars, but it's a little pricey and the pocket clip broke after only a few months. That damn clip has pretty much poked a hole in everything I've sat in. Really, if you need a severe duty knife, this is the one. Pretty sure this will be the last knife that I will ever need to buy. As long as I don't lose it.

Let's be clear about something, I'm a Georgia girl living in a Tennessee world where guns and knives are everything. I've had the Adamas Auto for over a year now and have not a damn thing to complain about it! The Axis system is still extremely strong! The knife is not as sharp know because I've put it through its paces. Sadly, if you're not LEO or Military you can't send it back to Benchmade to have it sharpened (not their fault, its just the law of their state that they operate in). Whether you're LEO, Military, Security Contractor (like I am), or just a patriot with a job that requires an extremely excellent knife, the Adamas family will absolutely NOT disappoint. It is rather large but it's something I got used to. I will be purchasing the manual version for when I travel. BUY THIS KNIFE AND ONLY THIS KNIFE!!!!

Go somewhere and put this weapon in your hand. Handle it some, feel the train like action, the lock up, the power.Think about what D2 steel is. This knife grabs you, it is unique in its force controlled by quality. I do not think there are others like it. I have bought 3 of these knives and given them to my best friends. When they get them they know they are my best friends. Rangers lead the way............in knives too

I own many different brands of knives.
I own several Benchmade Knives and I can say without any doubts or reservations that Benchmade Knives are the absolute finest quality knives and I would venture to say the best in the world.
The AUTO-ADAMAS is a very exceptional tool and one of the finest and strongest knives in my collection.
It is beefy, heavy, and razor sharp.
I don't like the AXIS opening system as much as a push button, but it doesn't take anything away from the quality and the functionality of this amazing instrument of perfection.
The molle sheath that is included with the knife is just as rugged and made with very high quality.
My version is the flat dark earth/beige handle with a black coated blade with serrated edges.
I recommend the AUTO-ADAMAS to anyone who wants a beast of a knife that will handle any task from hand-to-hand combat in battle, to cutting through most everything with ease.
I can shave with this knife.
I can shave the hair off of my arms and it's so razor sharp it's almost scary!
If you just look at and hold this knife you can tell by the craftsmanship that this knife will last a lifetime.
You could pass this down to a loved one long after you are gone.
It's just that incredible!
5 star rating!

I first purchased the adamas fixed blade because I liked the look and appreciated the fact that a percentage of the proceeds went to a noble and honorable cause and was very curious to see the quality that benchmade offered. when recieving the knife i was stunned with the quality and sharpness of the blade as it truly surpassed my expectations. In a mishap of forgetfulness i left the blade outside when using it to cut some things around the farm and gave it up reluctantly for lost. I immediately ordered the 275 folder and it has been my edc from then on. I have used this knife at work as a heavy truck and equipment mechanic where i have put it through what would be serious abuse for a lesser blade. I have cut through 3/4 inch battery cables by hitting the spine with a hammer,it chopped trough like butter with a perfectly clean cut and sustained negligible damage,(a nick in the spine 1/16" due to my inaccuracy and only slightly dulling the blade edge.) I have other examples of the ridgidity however it would take too long to explain lol. I found the fixed blade a few months and rainstorms later lying outside my house in the dirt, to my surprise the knife showed no signs of corrosion! Benchmade has sriously earned a lifelong loyal customer already based solely upon quality as i have yet to have to deal with any type of customer service but i hear that in that area they excell as well. I just purchased the barrage yesterday and look forward to its continued use for years to come if not for life lol. I personally will never buy a cutting tool from any other company so long as Benchmade keeps doing things the way they do.

This thing is a tank.. i easily cut thru fiber drums, including the metal ring, and its still sharp. I even use a hammer on the back of the blade to get thru the metal. Has scratched the black off but I'll send it in and pay $40 for new blade when needed.awsome quality
