The Perdue 3550 created by Mel Pardue was my first auto knive that I bought, at least 15 years ago. It is my everyday carry. The auto opener, finish, sharpness are in perfect condition, looks like I just bought it. The only wear that shows is the clip. This is by far the best knife at the right size I've ever owned. And now you have a new name and if you say it's improved, it's had to believe. Still looks like the 3550 Pardue. Maybe I'll get one when I can afford it to compare. My pardue did two tours in Iraq. Ive been your endorser, commercial since first receiving this knife. Benchmade keep up the great work, I'm your loyal customer until the day I die.

I bought this to replace a different Benchmade knife to carry day to day. For my needs, its the perfect size and design. The clip is designed well so that the knife isn't sticking out of my pocket (plus you can move it to the top or bottom as needed), the blade arrived very sharp right out of the box, and the button action is smooth and reliable. I love this knife and carry it everywhere I go.

This is my all purpose every day carry. I don't mind opening mail or packages with this; I bought it to use. I like the automatic just because I frequently am only using one hand and this is somewhat easier than a nitrous assist like my Volli, which is my other EDC. Really like the knife - small, unobtrusive, almost no blueprint at all. Just the ticket.

This is my second BenchMade, my other is a Mini-Griptillian. I received the Mini-Stimulus yesterday and am amazed how slim and lightweight the knife feels. Its exceptional construction is obvious when opening and closing of the blade, it's solid. This will definitely by my EDC choice now!

Exceptional quality. Rock solid opening and closing. Incredible edge. Best EDC (military) for work I've ever owned. Clean lines, great scales, and a brilliantly designed opening mechanism. Well worth the cost. Benchmade hits a grand slam again!

I've carried one for years and still do. It's easy to open, sharpen and holds a edge well. This is the thinnest coolest auto I've ever owned. I keep 2 extra in my safe just incase something happens to one. Awesome!

I've had this knife for about a month. I had a triage before this one and wanted an auto opener. The opening is almost to the point of violent. Definitely not skimping on spring tension for this knife. The opening lock is solid, but can be hard to actuate with gloves on. The knife has an amazing dagger look to it. I use the full side to open letters with. Closing the knife can be a little tricky if you're not paying attention. But that is the nature of an auto opener. Would recommend for anyone looking for an auto opener EDC.

Bought this knife in texas on a trip. Love the finish and action of the knife. The blade is sharp out of the box and holds its edge great. The button to deploy the blade is super easy the access and feels natural. Overall this is a extremely high quality knife and i highly recommend it. There are a few things that bother me however, the clip that comes with the knife is not a deep carry clip, the safety on the top of the knife grinds when you use it and i don't like the way it feels. Finally i know it is a tactical knife but for what i use it for (edc) i wish i could apply pressure to the top of the blade. The way the handle and blade come together makes it hard to apply a lot of downward torque to the blade. But other than being picky i love this knife and while i have probably 30 other knifes it is my edc.

Purchased this before sending my AFO was away for a tune-up. It's tiny by comparison (which makes the price a tad steep IMO), but quick and nimble. Will likely stay in my bag as a utility/secondary blade or pass it off to my wife once the AFO comes back. Easily concealed in a pocket or sock, solid mechanism, feels every bit a Benchmade. Not unhappy at all.
