Very nice blade for the money. Excellent steel, solid lock up, powerful action. It's made in the US so you know you're not getting Chinese made garbage. I carry it almost every day in the course of my job (switching between this and a spyderco matriarch 2 with Emerson wave) and I couldn't be happier with its performance and ability to hold a good edge. You won't be disappointed and I'm convinced this is one of the best side opening autos on the current market. Great Job Benchmade.

The Casbah is exactly what I've been looking for in a knife my entire life. I bought with black scales, serrated blade, satin S30V steel. The grivory scales have excellent texture to help maintain a tight grip. The jimping near the index finger is positioned just right so I never worry about slipping towards the blade. The action is as smooth as butter and the safety has an audible click so there's no doubting it's engaged. It's just the right size and the blade geometry doesn't give off that cheap novelty look like spyderco. The S30V steel shows great edge retention and durability. This knife wasn't a purchase, but an investment, and I'm proud to clip it in my pocket everyday.

I'll start off my review saying that I use to have a Benchmade Stryker I purchased when I was 15. At that time, that $90 was a whole lot of money to me. I really liked that knife a lot and got a lot of compliments on it. Over my teenage years, it was stolen once by a "friend," and lost for a week. I had thought I lost it offroading, but ended up finding it in my gravel driveway about a week later. I assume it was probably ran over at one point, because the belt clip was bent in a little. Almost 10 years later, the knife was stolen again, but this time I never got it back.

Since I loved my stryker so much, I had wanted another benchmade for many years. I finally broke down about a year ago and bought this reasonably priced Casbah. The knife is the cheapest autoloader I had ever seen from Benchmade. The action is smooth from my experience and couldn't expect a better value compared to the prices of other Benchmade autos. It flips out so hard that my it slung out of my wife's hand the first time she opened it. I also really like the safety. My single only gripe about the Casbah is the belt clip. I wear pretty snug jeans, yet I end up catching the clip on all sorts of stuff. I actually just bent the clip out pretty bad by catching it on the foam armrest of my office chair. Otherwise, it's a great knife!

I've been carrying this knife for a week now since I purchased it to replace a SOG spring assist. I have been very impressed with the quality of this knife. The size and weight are perfect for an everyday knife. The Casbah is lighter than the knife it replaced, but sturdy which makes for comfortable all day carry in a pocket. I put it in my pocket and forget it's there. I would definitely buy this again, but I doubt I'll need to... unless I lose it God forbid!

Great knife! Perfect auto knife for me and my first. I was looking for an upgraded EDC carry. Anyone that’s looking for the same. This is great for you too.

This is a very high quality knife. Right when I pulled it out of the box, then the little Benchmade branded sack I knew this was a quality knife. It feels and is very sturdy. The configuration I bought was: blue handle, black finish, and serrated blade. I would recommend this for people in Oregon,(or any other states that Automatic knifes are legal, CA/WA do not allow these).Definitely pick up at the Factory Store, it's a really cool experience , would recommend to a friend.

This knife is a top quality EDC knife. Just the right size for pocket carry. The clip is very sturdy and deep set.The release is effortless and the blade opens with authority. I like the safety switch location and the fact that you have to use some force to disengage it. I don't have to worry about an accidental blade opening in my pocket. The blade came razor sharp out of the box and is centered perfectly in the frame. The frame has a nice roughed up area in the middle of the grip that is both functional and great looking. I only wish the knife was less costly so I could buy more of them in different configurations. But as my Father once told me, "Buy the best and cry only once."

Very, very happy with this 4400! I have no reserve about telling anyone to buy this auto. Great value for a Benchmade auto. Any auto, for the matter of fact. You won't regret this purchase.
