It's my EDC. What I like? Benchmade. Pay for quality and you only cry once. The blade design....great. Listed as tactical but could easily work for hunting. The blade is solid when open. Zero movement. The Axis lock is about as secure as you get in a folder. Blade steel? Fantastic. Mine is scary sharp and easy to touch up. M4 is very hard steel and it stays sharp.
I love the G 10 handle with the aggressive design. It has the cut out for your index finger and gimping for your thumb as well as the aggressive texture. You really want a knife to be secure in hand especially if your hand is wet or slippery. What you don't want is a knife that allows your hand to slide forward!! Not good.
I've had the knife for about two years and can't think of any negatives. It isn't "too big" for EDC. Fits perfectly in my front pocket. The glass breaker is also a nice feature. 5 Stars. I guess I need the fixed blade version next!

I purchased this knife as a weak side, pencil sharpener,
While at an atm depositing business monies two individuals began banging on the door yelling and threatening, all the while I continue to make my deposit, more threats were sent my direction. I carefully, calmy, and without delay or change to my task at hand, removed this from my pocket and used the pocket clip as a money holder on the atm. The money clip seemed to make my deposit less attractive as I quickly.noticed I was now alone making my deposit in silence.
The best knife I've never had to use!

The Contego 810 was given to me as a gift. I use this thing constantly throughout my daily life, it never fails me. I have done everything from cut cardboard and foam to skin a white-tail buck with it. This knife does it all. Very pleased.

this was my second benchmade, and let me tell you, if I lost this knife today and benchmade doubled the price i would have no problem buying again. This knife is always in my pocket, and i would be dumb to let it stay at home. On one of my jobs i was cutting a large root that i applied too much strength to and of course my benchmade flew through the root and hit the tractor bucket next to me, terrified I looked to the blade as surely striking a large piece of hardened metal would easily show a huge pit in my blade. I instantly remembered that i can simply ship it to benchmade and have a professional restore my blade, but to my shock the blade suffered no injury. surely the knife is dull in that area but i mean, it took a heavy hit and didn't chip. This knife fits perfectly in my hand and will NEVER slip my grip. Watch a few reviews, this knife will never break on you. If i could rate this 6 stars I'd ask for 7.
