Best skinning knife I have ever owned. First time I used it was this past weekend. Skinned 2 Feral Hogs in no time. A piece of cake. Super sharp. Still have not sharpened it. Have several Benchmade knives but I like this one best. I used too much effort to put it back in the sheath and it cut a couple of the threads at the tip. So now a little bit of the blade tip is exposed. Chatted with Amber on here, told her about the situation and she is sending me a replacement Kydex sheath. Other sheath is leather. I probably inserted it into the sheath and tried to seat it too firmly. Thus cutting 2-3 of the stitches at the end of the sheath. Benchmade warranty is excellent!!! I asked Amber could I send the knife in to get the sheath repaired. She then asked me.... "Why don't I just send you another sheath?" That was rather unexpected. She asked which sheath I wanted. I chose Kydex this time. You cannot go wrong with Benchmade. Easy to sharpen, holds an edge good. Great in hand. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!

This knife is perfect for my deer hunting needs. I use this knife from gutting all the way to the meat processing and never have a problem with edge retention and toughness. I can't say enough great things about this knife. Buy it, you'll thank me later!

I've been a camp counselor for 3 years and this is my favorite knife for cleaning fish, the only draw back to the knife is that I have bought the acrylic wood and the leather sheath. I am now trying to find a Kydax sheath and It would be cool if Benchmade could sell specific sheaths separate. Other than that best knife and worth every penny.

I hunt upland birds and bought this knife exclusively for that purpose. I don't think you could find a better boning knife than this one. Especially for the price. It cuts through meat and tendons with ease and holds an edge very well. I have owned this knife over a year without sharpening, and have butchered countless quail, pheasant, chukar and even a few chickens and turkeys.
