I agree with Tim, except for his rating of price. It's a Benchmade! I was almost afraid to use this knife because of the cost, but once i did it quickly became my go to blade. I like how it's technically an auto, i use it as manual at work with no fuss.

For guys that like to sit around and practice drawing, opening and closing their knives as many ways as possible the serum is as good as it gets. Being an axis lock at heart, naturally it opens buttery smooth using the thumb studs in both forward and reverse hand grips. The cutouts on the scales in line with the studs allow for the reverse grip ring finger opening something not all designs permit. Inertia opening also work well thanks to the extra high grind giving the blade a lighter weight thus being gentler to the lock on these powerful openings. As for the auto feature its a snap to deploy as long as you pinch both sides of the lock bar and hold the butt of the grip in your palm. Its difficult to do with just the thumb however and took my hands two weeks to get used to. The trick is to hold the knife upside down in the palm and pull with the side of the thumb straight down the side of the grip instead of inward and down. Quality wise its black class all the way. The knife has a nice heft to it I wasn't expecting similar to the presidio, and the smooth G10 is very comfortable yet wide enough for an extremely secure grip. The knife gives a surprisingly long reach for a mid sized blade due to the placement of the finger grooves and I hold it with the butt wedged in in my palm like a J frame revolver. The thin blade should be quite a slicer and will appeal to martial artists who practice edge driven methods. I got the coated blade version and centering is perfect with no rubbing anywhere after a million openings and the auto fire has smoothed up considerably. Over all i'm really glad curiosity got the best of me and I ordered one. Its a top quality USA made knife from a company who always puts out interesting , fun, yet deadly designs, giving enthusiasts like me who sit around practicing tactical folder quick draw something to do.
