I decided i needed a knife with more of a rescue purpose after a fellow firefighter was hit by a car while working a wreck on the interstate..... using trauma shears to cut his turnout gear off him was a time consuming , painful process . I decided on this knife and have absolutely zero buyers remorse . Good grip texture , good balance , good leverage . The blade holds an edge well (though the rescue hook dulls out a bit faster than the blade ) and the glass breaker hasnt dulled out at all . I also tried the hook out on some old bunker gear and it zipped right through it with no problem . I wish that i had it the night my buddy got hit . I would definitely reccomend it to any first responder .

I bought this knife solely for work due to the rescue hook and window breaker. I have had it for more than two years now and it has held up very well and stayed sharp for a long time. Love the texture of the handle. Allows grip when wet, slippery or with gloves one. I bought this before the Auto option was available, so that is my only gripe. Now if I can bring myself to pay for the Auto option I would in a heartbeat. The speed and ease of the Auto option comes in handy on my EDC civilian knife, that I can only imagine how handy it would be in an emergency situation.

THIS KNIFE IS EXCEPTIONALY MADE AND PERFORMS PERFECTLY DAY AFTER DAY. I AM A LEO WITH THE NYPD AND RECEIVED THIS KNIFE AS A GIFT XMAS OF 2013. IT PERFORMS JUST AS WELL TODAY AS IT DID 2 YEARS AGO. I RECOMMEND THIS KNIFE TO ANY LEO OR SOLDIER. I ONLY WISH I HAD THIS KNIFE WHEN I WAS IN THE MILITARY.

I bought this knife a year ago, plain sheepsfoot blade with orange handle. I've carry it with me everyday, and use it for a variety of tasks. The main reason I carry it is for self extrication out of my vehicle in the event of an accident (knock on wood). I love the sheepsfoot blade design because you can cut clothing off without cutting yourself or your patient. Rescue cutter cuts rope like butter and I imagine it would cut through a seatbelt without a problem. The G10 handle makes it very grippy with/without gloves on. The only con is that it is a little heavy, but it's also sturdy as hell so it's a tradeoff. So far its been extremely reliable, the knife locks perfectly with no wriggle and deploys quickly. The locking mechanism is very sturdy and I like it a lot more than other knives, you can deploy it with the thumbstud or pull back on the axis lock and swing it out and swing it back in. Overall i'm very impressed with the knife, the only con being the weight (tradeoff is reliability and strength).
