I have owned lots of traditional pocket knives like Case, Bokker etc, but I have recently become a complete believer in Benchmade knives. I own two Volli knives and I really appreciate the AXIS operating mechanism as it is completely reliable and sturdy. Now that I utilize knives with the assisted opening, I can't stand a knife where I have to pull open the blade. In fact, the blade opens faster than my CLA knife which is an automatic! The G 10 handle are perfect for gripping and I love the taper (in both directions) of the handle. Even the top of the blade is tapered so it is a smooth carry in my pocket. I find that I rub the opening slot of the handle like a "worry stone" when it is in my pocket; something I never did with any other pocket knife. I am fortunate to have the limited edition of the Volli which is made of M390 steel. I am blown away by this steel! It is truly amazing compared with 440C which is so common on many knives. A little slow to sharpen, but once sharp, LOOK OUT! Stays sharp along time and I can shave my whiskers with it.

Purchased this at the NRA Outdoor Show in Harrisburg Pa. My Mini-barrage needed a minor repair and the Benchmade Rep kindly sent it in for me. Felt "knife-less" and the dealer was running a sale. Showed me this Volli,it checked all the boxes, Axis-Assist, S30V, G10, quite thin and well balanced. It followed me home, excellent EDC, replaced the clip with a deep-carry, now I have 4 Benchmade knives.I Never leave home without one! In terms of quality, customer service and design, Benchmade stands above the crowd, and it's American made.

I really enjoy both the weight and the functionality of this knife. It feels firm, but responsive and efficient as well.

I bought this knife along with the Bugout, they make a great pair BTW and I carry both. The Volli is perfect for EDC. Out of all the Benchmade knives I own, which is a quite a few, that have AXIS Assist, the Volli is my favorite. Medium sized pocket knife but stout. The S30V steel is tough but easy to sharpen if need be. I've used it many times and the grind still holds right out of the box. Whenever I use this knife people ask "what knife is that?" Or "damn, is that an auto?" Since I live in CA, unfortunately autos are illegal and have had law enforcement question it but nevertheless its legal here in CA. The Volli never ceases to impress.

Out of all my Benchmades, this is my absolute favorite folder. It has the full handle of a barrage (even fuller actually, not as thick, not as long, but wider in the up-down spectrum), and the quick deployment of a mini barrage. This knife fits my hand perfect, better than any knife I have ever held. The texturing on the G10 was odd to me at first, but the grip it provides is just amazing. I couldn't improve this knife in any way unless it was made automatic. This might be taboo, but I like this even more than my 940-2. Yep, it's that good for me.

I have had my Volli for 4 years now and it is simply the best knife for everyday care for me. Thin, strong, sharp and comfortable to carry. I am in the trades and would be lost without it. Have used Benchmade’s sharpening service a couple of times when I have neglected the edge to long and the service they provide is second to none. They basically rebuild the knife each time and send it back razor sharp. Great company offering a great American made product. Looking to add a hunting knife to my collection soon!

I have a few Benchmade knives and I really like them all. This knife is a little larger than my other EDC knives, but it remains easy to conceal and carry. The grip is just the right size for my larger hands. I usually end up carrying this knife over the others because it is thin and fits inside my sock to the point that I forget it's there. I added an aftermarket deep pocket clip that really makes this knife shine. The blade flies out with the flick of a finger. The steel is excellent and arrived razor sharp. It is centered in the frame perfectly. I highly recommend the Volli as it is a great all around knife.

Have had the Volli for 4 years now as my EDC. Lightweight, easy to tune up the edge, stays razor sharp, locks up tight, lightning fast one hand open and close, secure grip on the scales, lies flat in the pocket with the clip. I would buy another one in a NY minute.

The ergonomics, handling, sharpness, weight, everything is perfect. The assisted blade opens smoothly. I owned this knife for a little over a year. Lost it. Replaced it with the same knife with no hesitation.

This is by far the best feeling knife I've held. Much better than the barrage or griptillian. It's solid and gives very good grip, but doesn't hurt your hands after long use. I often find myself using the molded portion of the handle by the thumb stud as a worry stone, because it's so comfortable. The action and tolerances are just as you would expect from Benchmade - no blade play at all and super smooth. Excellent edge retention, too. A true work of art.

If you're considering the Volli or the Barrage, or any of the other assisted openers from BM, just go with the Volli and save yourself some time. I had the satin finished, serrated version and it's the best folder I've ever owned. Unfortunately it was stolen after about 2 years of owning this knife. I have a Barrage and I have to say, the Volli just feels better in every way. You won't regret it. I'll be ordering another very soon.

This is my first actually expensive knife. I have always been a huge fan of Buck knives, but I decided I wanted to try something new, especially with how well I take care of my knives. I chose to buy the knife from a dealer because I need to see the knife physically in person before I can make a decision. I fell in love with both the Volli and the Mini-Barrage, but ultimately, I went with the Volli. I love the weight of the knife and how this one was spring assisted (both were, but this one seemed different upon opening). I had wanted a smaller blade, so it would more easily fit in my pocket, but I just loved this knife too much (note: I am a girl and this is able to fit in the back pocket of my jeans, ladies). This one was special edition, being number 139 of 750. Overall I am extremely happy with the quality of this knife and I'm looking forward to having it around for many years!

I bought the Volli for an EDC. I wanted a good assisted opening with a coated S30V blade. I didn't know when I ordered it how much I was going to love it. Size, appearance, balance, locking mechanism, grips - all just perfect. The only problem is that I'm saving this for real tight spots and have not cut anything with it yet :-)

I already had a Adamas Auto and an Auto Triage. I attended a LGS Benchmade Event because they were offering Laser Engraving with purchase. I spent an hour looking at various Benchmades and stumbled upon the Volli. I was not familiar with this model, but I quickly learned it appears to be one of the Best Kept Secrets in the Benchmade lineup. I wasn't planning on spending too much on another knife, but when I realized all of the features of the Volli (AXIS Assist, G-10, CPM-S30V blade) and the current price- I couldn't pass it up. I could not be happier.

I absolutely love the action on this knife just as fast (if not faster) than some of my autos. Also the fact that you can get s30v steel all for a decent price that won't break the bank. You can't forget about Lifesharp and the fact that it's an American made knife. I love my volli and looking forward to buy more products from this company in the future.

I came across the Benchmade booth at Expo West and was able to handle the entire line of their knives. I was looking for an everyday carry, not to big yet not too small. The Volli immediately stood out with its comfortable grip, quality build and assisted opening. It has become an everyday trusted companion.
