Hey BM,
I got this knife when I graduated Paramedic school and it has been on my hip since then on every call. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a BM rescue knife! This thing is a true life saver because it is always handy, versatile, indestructible, and looks freaking cool. Stoked.

As an EMT, I wouldn’t trust any other brand on the job. The Triage and Tactical Triage are my go-to knives for duty use.

I got my full manual operation orange Triage just a couple of days ago. Automatics are of course illegal in my state. This new Triage of mine is my new "staple" EDC. It is built to BM typical very high standards, it is an Axis lock, has a very impressive belt cutter that opens easily via thumb stud along the spine of the knife. Add to that the glass breaker and the also outstanding BLUNT tip outstanding blade. It even has a deep carry clip. May not be deep enough for some as the pointy glass breaker could easily poke you all day long. I am SO impressed with this Triage I am looking for a pro grade sheath for it.

I was called to handle a crash in a rural area. The EMTs beat me there. As I arrived the EMT was running up the hill away from the crashed truck. The intoxicated driver had pointed a revolver at him. I ran down the hill and commenced "aggressive negotiations" with him. He eventually went into a seizure. I located and secured the pistol and summoned the EMTs and we extricated him from the vehicle with ease. I used this amazing piece of equipment to punch the side window in one easy strike, cut the side impact airbag like it was hot butter with the main blade, and the driver's seatbelt with ease with the belt hook. This is a top notch implement for dangerous work, making it THE knife I proudly carry as a Trooper.

This is the knife that made me respect knives! I bought it from a gun store while I was working at the local scrap yard and I went to town with this knife right away. I'd smash out derelict window with the carbide tip, I'd tear out all sorts of materials with the hook. I was even tasked with gutting a an entire school bus, and I did so over the course of a day using this knife for more than ninety percent of the work!

I was given this knife almost 6 years ago and haven't needed or wanted another knife since. I've used it for everything from cutting weeds out of a boat engine in the Everglades to tacking loose horse shoes back on in Wyoming!I've skinned hogs, deer, squirrels even fish with this knife and used it for everything in between. This is hands down the best knife I've ever owned. The warranty service is excellent too.

I was given this knife as a gift in 2013. As a full time fire medic I carried it on shift and off to start. Then changed to just carrying on shift because it became such a valuable tool. This knife has done more than I ever thought a knife could do from cutting wires to roof shingles to prying open windows. I use the hook on most every mvc call with air bag deployment. It works great at cutting the side air bags away to access the patient easily with out moving them or putting them in harms way with an open blade. On bad tramra call I can use the hook to cut thru thick Jeans and leather belts where tramra shears would take much more time and effort. This knife has never let me down no matter what I have put it through. It had not only saved my life but helped save many others as well. I will never own another brand, thanks benchmade and thanks you to the men and women that make this fine product!!

I purchased this knife early in 2016 and it has proven invaluable as an asset in my emergency toolkit. As an EMT, Dive Medic/PSD/Swift Water Rescuer, Rescuer...it has proven its worth countless times. It even goes with me underwater attached to my wing BC as a safety knife in addition to my Titanium dive knife because I trust in its quality that much! Easy to maintain and sharpen, it holds an edge even after great abuse. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great emergency knife or even just a "must have" for the avid outdoors person.

Very well made EDC piece of kit. I received mine as a gift and it has performed very well on everything I have thrown at it from slicing apples to slicing an old thick rubber conveyer belt into strips. I am a long time Benchmade user and this knife continues to solidify my trust in the craftsmanship that goes into each knife.

I bought the Triage (black handle, Satin sheeps foot, serrated) to keep in my PU as an ICE knife. So far, I have not kept it in the PU, I carry it. I love the texture on the grip, which makes it almost un-slippable (not sure that's a word, but you get my meaning). I have purchased 7 Benchmade knives, all of which I have loved. I have only had one problem with one knife (I lost it, a OD green mini Griptillian). Not the knife's fault... :)
