Had this knife for about a year and a half now and it was my first Benchmade. It is my primary EDC both on-duty as a LEO and off-duty.The knife has been used extensively in a variety of conditions and environments (Heavy rain, snow, dirt, mud, sand) and yet is still sharp and still looks almost like new. I just ordered a second one and will definitely be purchasing many more Benchmade knives in the future!

Over the years I have had one mini standard Barrage which I still have and use, 2 full size 581 full up with bolsters/coated M390 blades and recently just got my first Custom Shop full size Barrage in an awesome desert tan standard G10 pattern, all black hardware with of course the serrated 20CV black coated blade. I have NEVER had any of my Barrage knives fail me in any way at all. The fact that Osbourne designed in an actual LOCK into the back spacer that you can lock the knife closed AND open is just GENIUS. Despite the prices of them they are still high value as if these were made by any other company they would start at $250.

I order a custom barrage for my husband for Christmas and he was blown away with the quality. He has always had Kershaw knives and they do they job but this is on a whole other level. Yes this knife is a little bit expensive but your getting your moneys worth for the quality and customer service. If your looking for a knife company that stand behind their product and services this is it, we will be purchasing more in the future for sure! Thank you Benchmade for caring about craftsmanship!

I love the barrage. Great size, weight, and customizable. I ordered a custom with sand colored G10, S30V, and all black hardware. The look is amazing, but I was a little disappointed to find out that dye from regular blue jeans is very attracted to sand colored G10. After about a month of regular carry, my sand G10 was more like a blued G10. I was able to remove the scales and scrub the dye off using nothing more than a scrub brush, elbow grease, and dish soap. Now, the barrage looks like new! Very good knife, quick deployment, good balance, amazing steel, and very aesthetically pleasing. I almost like the mini barrage better though, faster deployment, and it fits my hand just perfect. Either way, I have both versions (mini and regular) and both definitely live up to the Benchmade name.

I have now had 4 Barrages. 2 full size 581's with all the DLC blade coated goodness and BOTH got STOLEN. The FULL DRESS aluminum bolster and G10 handle not to mention the spring assist that when new feels like has so much tension in it that the knife actually has recoil when you open it. The Barrage is still the ONLY folding knife I have seen with the GENIUS Axis locking tab along the start of the spine of the knife. You can lock your very sharp Barrage blade in the CLOSED position as well as the OPEN position!

I love this knife. Feels great in hand. Opens fast and looks amazing. If you’re thinking about buying one think no more and just do it. Can’t beat the price and you can customize it. I won’t ever buy a different brand of knife from now on. Thank you Benchmade!!

I have bought other Benchmade knives but received the Barrage as a gift. This knife is so solid and reliable. Very good quality throughout...great steel and the assist action comes in very handy for one handed opening. My go-to EDC knife.

I’ve purchased many knives in the past, all different names Brands. Locking mechanisms stick, action is stiff, blade quality questionable and not as sharp from factory as you’d like. I pulled my new custom barrage out of the beautiful box and carry/cleaner cloth and it opened as smooth as silk! Sharpest knife out of the box I’ve ever felt.. hands down quality. You absolutely get what you pay for. I literally have been sitting flicking it open and closed for the past few days in amazement! I would recommend this knife to anyone who wants to spend the money and see what a real knife feels like. Thanks Benchmade!

I needed an edc for my construction job and just around my farm and this barrage does the job perfectly. It works better than razors for cutting plastic and things like that, and the serrated portion allows it to slice through roots and branches. Used heavily the last year and haven’t sharpened it once, still doesn’t need it. Great knife.
