This is a great alternative to the infidel and stands out on its own. Love it!

Purchased my Pagan a couple of weeks ago and have fallen totally in love with it. It's a quality built and beautiful knife. Great feeling knowing you have dependable knife in your pocket. I mainly carry it with me for personal defense and try to limit it's normal knife activity. Not that I don't have confidence in it's ability, but let's face it the Pagan is designed more for personal protection than cutting up fruit. It's a pricey knife, but to me it's worth the money. The mechanism is smooth and lightning quick. The blade sharpness and feel in my hand is superior. I highly recommend that a Pagan should be part of your everyday carry. Thanks Benchmade

Having completed multiple successful deployments to some of the armpit locales in the world with the US Marine Corps I have definitely learned the value of quality kit! Although I would not choose the Pagan as my choice of carry blades as I prefer a fixed blade for those occasions. The Pagan shines as an EDC for back on the block though! With it’s impressive presentation, construction, and blade lock up I have full confidence in it being up for the task when called upon! I chose to have my blade etched to memorialize my branch of service, deployments and terminal rank. I also bought one for my Dad whose background as a former Chief of the NYFD and who continues to work well into his retirement as a Correctional Officer and Bailiff and he is extremely happy with it and includes it as a component of his EDC kit. Buy once, cry once when it comes to your gear that lives may depend upon! Benchmade rocks!!!!

Having completed multiple deployments I know the value of quality kit. Benchmade has never let me down! This would not be high on my list for every day kit if deployed, as I am a firm believer in fixed blades in that capacity as you are reducing Murphy’s influence on your gear..... always a priority in my book! It performs outstanding as an EDC option back on the block though! Fires open with authority and has great lock up especially for an OTF! I picked up one for myself with blade etching reflective of my service branch ( USMC), deployments and terminal rank and one for my Dad who is a retired NYFD Fire Chief and currently still works in his retirement as a Corrections Officer & occasionally as a Court Bailiff. He is equally happy with his. Buy once, cry once when it comes to kit that lives depend on!

I love this knife, its reliable, fast, and fits right in my pocket easily.I would recommend this knife to anyone that wants an automatic knife.Even though i do not carry it around my side all the time, it is a good knife to start a collection or add to one.I'm not a big fan of paying a lot of cash on things, but this knife is worth every single dollar.Thank you Benchmade for making an awesome knife,i respect that

Great knife. The smooth grip slides in the pocket nicely and is very easy to retrieve. This is what lead me to the Pagan over the Infidel. The impressive action is quick and the blade is very sharp. This is a great conversation piece and EDC. I do sometimes wish I had gone with the single sided blade for little better utility function as I have to be very careful not to cut myself with the opposing edge. I also would have gone with the silver blade as the finish wears off easily (especially as much as I play with it). Over all great knife and I plan to add another OTF from Benchmade to my collection in the near future. Only Complaint I have is the strength of the action. It is rather easy to "trip" the mechanism when deploying or retracting the blade. I know it is there for safety purposes, but it would be nice if the blade would at least penetrate a piece of paper on deployment.

Being a Mechanical Designer, Machinist, and Gunsmith, I was more than impressed with the quick action, tight toleranced no-wobble design, and safety of this knife. In spite of it's larger size, the smoothness and contour of the hilt make it more than suitable for EDC in any attire. The chisel-ground blade is very handy for precision fine cuts. An absolutely amazing knife.

I was skeptical at first to spend this much money on a knife, but after receiving it in the mail and witnessing an automatic OTF knife for the first time in my life, I am beyond pleased. There is just something about the way this knife opens that will just put a smile on your face. The spring tension is amazing and when this thing opens, you can just tell how much force is behind it. Be careful though, this knife comes out of the box literally razor sharp and will cut you very easily if you aren't paying attention.
