I bought my Pagan about three months ago at the local armory and when I first got home I’m like why did you buy this it’s pretty much just like your Infidel. So I decided to carry it everyday and use it for my normal daily cutting tasks, which is something I’ve never done with my Infidel. So over the past three months I’ve cut rope, webbing, boxes, hamburgers, mail, banding, tape, and some glob of something out of my dogs hair, and to my surprise it’s performed flawlessly and still looks and cuts like it just came out of the box. The smoother finish makes it come in and out of your pocket easily, and the action is a little more smooth than the Infidel opening and closing. So what you have in the Pagan is a tactical can use to defend yourself as a last resort, but so designed it can be used as and performs well as a everyday carrier. My final comment is this the price is the price and I say buy onc/cry once because when it comes to a quality knife that performs well it’s better to pay for quality and have it perform when needed. Good job Benchmade with the Pagan.

Love this knife! I'm a longtime fan of OTF knives but the Infidel & Pagan are the ultimate. I have owned cheap OTFs but always wanted a Benchmade. What is never mentioned in reviews is that OTFs are about the safest knives you can carry. You don't touch the blade when opening or closing it. It can snap back into the handle instantly after you finish using it. Both of these features greatly reduce the risk of cutting anything you don't want to cut. Looking forward to many years of use from this fine knife.

You get what you pay for and this is awesome.

This is a great alternative to the infidel and stands out on its own. Love it!

Purchased my Pagan a couple of weeks ago and have fallen totally in love with it. It's a quality built and beautiful knife. Great feeling knowing you have dependable knife in your pocket. I mainly carry it with me for personal defense and try to limit it's normal knife activity. Not that I don't have confidence in it's ability, but let's face it the Pagan is designed more for personal protection than cutting up fruit. It's a pricey knife, but to me it's worth the money. The mechanism is smooth and lightning quick. The blade sharpness and feel in my hand is superior. I highly recommend that a Pagan should be part of your everyday carry. Thanks Benchmade

Having completed multiple successful deployments to some of the armpit locales in the world with the US Marine Corps I have definitely learned the value of quality kit! Although I would not choose the Pagan as my choice of carry blades as I prefer a fixed blade for those occasions. The Pagan shines as an EDC for back on the block though! With it’s impressive presentation, construction, and blade lock up I have full confidence in it being up for the task when called upon! I chose to have my blade etched to memorialize my branch of service, deployments and terminal rank. I also bought one for my Dad whose background as a former Chief of the NYFD and who continues to work well into his retirement as a Correctional Officer and Bailiff and he is extremely happy with it and includes it as a component of his EDC kit. Buy once, cry once when it comes to your gear that lives may depend upon! Benchmade rocks!!!!

Having completed multiple deployments I know the value of quality kit. Benchmade has never let me down! This would not be high on my list for every day kit if deployed, as I am a firm believer in fixed blades in that capacity as you are reducing Murphy’s influence on your gear..... always a priority in my book! It performs outstanding as an EDC option back on the block though! Fires open with authority and has great lock up especially for an OTF! I picked up one for myself with blade etching reflective of my service branch ( USMC), deployments and terminal rank and one for my Dad who is a retired NYFD Fire Chief and currently still works in his retirement as a Corrections Officer & occasionally as a Court Bailiff. He is equally happy with his. Buy once, cry once when it comes to kit that lives depend on!
