If you're looking for an edc knife, don't buy this. If you want a concealed carry blade to compliment your edc, then this is the knife for you. The blade is not sharp because it is a dagger. The point is so sharp it will amaze you. Very thin and low profile. It will protect you in your time of need. No questions asked.

This isn't a review as much as it is a request for "better" steels. I would buy this knife if were available in something like 1095, AS134, D2 to name a few...440C is ok but there are much better steels that hold an edge better resist corrosion just as well or better and have high tensile strengths and toughness, the cost would go up no doubt but I would pay in the $150.00 range for it and some of the issues with breakage as reported might go away. This design has very thin sections and even Ti wouldn't go to waist here.

I like the fact that the newer model is ground the full length of the blade. I was disappointed the edge was dull.As a last line of defense the point will get the job done, sadly there is a lack of cutting ability on the edges.

I owned this knife for all of two months, went to unsheath it and the loop on the back of the handle snapped (weak point)

Requested a replacement, took time and fanancial means to send Knife in.. needless to say poor customer service resulted in loss of my patronage ..

My suggestion is find something reliable that the company whom makes it doesn’t try to write it off because they are too ashamed to back up their product .

I absolutely love the SOCP Dagger. I am used to carrying fixed blades IWB, so it was nothing new in that sense, but it really disappears. Very thin and easy to take out. Surprisingly thick blade compared to overall profile of the knife, the trainer is very sturdy (also slightly heavier). Only complaint is that at the 3 o'clock position, the jimping on the end will sometimes dig into my side and is very unpleasant.

Bought this as an EDC knife about 5 months ago, and was immediately struck by how easily the knife can be concealed. I would personally like the sheath to be a bit thinner, or to have the capacity to be mounted horizontally across the lower back, but the current system is not a deal breaker.

In practicing with the knife, it becomes quickly apparently that attention was not given to corners. The knife would be much more comfortable in the users hand if the corners on the handle, especially the draw ring section were lightly beveled. If this were fixed, the knife would be of a much higher quality in my mind.

Works very well. Easily concealable and very comfortable anywhere on the waistband and fits very snug on my molle backpack.I would highly recommend this to the average person for defensive carry and edc.
