My favorite knife along with some memories
My dad bought two of these knives and gave one to me and he carried the other. Eight years later he's no longer here but this knife sure is. Always afraid to lose it just because of the sentiment behind it but as he always would have said "what's the purpose of a knife if it stays in the drawer?"

    I Love it!!
My Dad would always give me a hard time about carrying a Benchmade instead of a Case (that being my last name). But I keep my Case Peanut in my pocket for small things. All my other Case knives are in Safe for my grandson. My Rift is my go to knife for everyday use. This thing will hold an edge, due to purchasing a Wicked Edge sharpener. Love it!!!

    LOVE My Auto Rift
I love my Auto Rift. I picked it out and the wife bought it for me for Christmas 2018. Been nearly a year now and it is still a work of art to be drooled over. I got a GREAT DEAL on my auto ($192.50 + Tax, free shipping) but I don't carry it often. I save that job for a cheaper knife, I don't care if it get's scuffed. Been waiting for the Mini Crooked River to come out in Auto. If they decide to make it, I'll spare no expense. It will get Laser Engraved and customized to the max. Thanks Benchmade. Best Knives I have ever owned (I'm 61 plus 20 years in the military, and 15 years deployed with unmanned aircraft, and have had many. The Army guys love my knives like I do.

    Great knife
I purchased this knife 4 years ago as my first high quality knife. it's still is my only knife. I've put this knife through its paces. from opening cardboard boxes to to hammering it through wood some wood chunks. I've dropped the knife many times and the handle holds up not a chip at all. Its been dropped on concrete, in water, mud and stepped on. Always held up. The blade is great, never chipped, i have rolled the edge before but easily fixed. Under normal use this blade shouldn't have any problems. I tend to abuse my stuff so for it to hold up for that long its great. There is only one thing i didn't like about the knife and that's the pocket clip. My shirt got caught on it one night at work and it bent it to where it didn't hold onto my pocket anymore. I had to take some pliers and push the clip back down. Other than that i can't say enough good about this knife

    Bonzoro
Just received my new Auto Rift as an early Christmas present because I lost my Auto Triage a couple weeks back. I was lost without my trusty Benchmade which I carried and used most every day. I was the best knife I have ever owned (I'm soon to be 61 so it aint my first rodeo) so I knew I wanted to stay with the best quality knives which IS BENCHMADE. The solid feel on your hand, the solid snap when it locks into the open position, and the ability to hold an edge for a long time (I had the Triage sharpened once in the 4 years of near daily use) and since I cut a lot of cardboard while boxing my custom amplifiers that was surprising.I have only had this Rift Auto for a couple weeks but it's as comfortable and familiar in my hand as my Triage and I look forward to the many years of reliability. I did do something different this time around and it had been in my mind for years and that was to move away from the serrated blade since that portion can not be sharpened. So, my new Rift (9555) has the Auto mechanism, non-serrated blade, satin finished blade in 154CM steel, and it is awesome. After using it for a while, I'll submit a supplement to this review.

p.s. I bought a Kershaw Launch 1 to do the dirty work while I baby my Rift but the Kashew Lunch 1 is half the knife of this Benchmade.

    I love this knife
I have an auto-Rift, and I love this knife. It is strong and tough and it is the perfect size for my hand. If it was $80 cheaper and had a glass breaker it would be perfect.

    Love this knife!
I wanted an EDC knife when I went to the company store to get my Infidel sharpened. The Rift wasn’t at the top of my list as I was looking through the cases, but I kept coming back to it. Now that I’ve had it three months I’m glad I bought it. Great design, easy to open, and incredibly sharp. This is great American quality and I will continue to buy Benchmade in the future.

    Nice size.
So, I bought the auto serrated blade. It seems small out of the box but it's actually a perfect size for an everyday knife. I still like my AFO better, it seems bigger and more substantial, but my AFO was issued to me for a deployment so I am emotionally attached. The blade on the Rift is perfect for most jobs so I will keep it as sharp as I can and then send it to Benchmade in a couple of years. I just got two knives back from the life sharp service so I'm a Benchmade fan

    Benchmade Rift
I had to give this Rift I have had for the last year a two stars rating of price and value...Because I think it's overpriced. This aside, I absolutely love this knife, and FIVE STARS FOR QUALITY. It spends a significant amount of time in my pocket, does everything I need it to do, and shows little effect from all of it. It's got a few things I do not like, such as odd location for the thumb-stud, no milling of the liners, and some sharp edges, but this knife just works for me, and just feels right. It's one of my knives that I find myself always reaching for. It gets opened probably 50 times a day, from real world use to just playing with it. Highly recommended!
