    Great knife, lousy sheath.
Best outdoor knife ever! One of the worst sheaths ever! At least give us some options for better sheaths.

    Great knife, terrible sheath.
I own 3 fixed blade Benchmade knives, and several from other manufacturers. So now I carry inferior knives from other manufacturers with decent sheaths. I didn't like plastic tactical sheaths when I was in the military and still don't. I would like to have the option of a sturdy leather sheath from Benchmade. After reading your reviews I see I'm not the only one.

The knife is great, razor sharp, and built like a tank.......sheath is not eqaul to knife.
I think i paid 185.00 at Cabelas for this knife and just to say I went in to the store looking for a BM knife, chose the Arvensis family of knives..... YOUR SHEATHS SUCK BENCHMADE, WE HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THEN PAY TWICE FOR THESE SHEATHS. I do even need to explain because we have all had the experiences with these sheaths, FIX IT!

    Very good survival/combat fixed blade
I really like this blade. Robust full tang construction, good balance, comfortable handle, it expertly walks a fine line between a combat and survival knife, making it an excellent doomsday knife.

I like the sheath, but can't stand the belt clip mechanism. It's places the knife too far away from the body, and with all of the 90 degree bends it seems flimsy. I replaced the factory sheath with a leather sheath from TallPygmyLeather and it's much, much better. I give the knife 5/5 stars, the sheath 2.5/5.

    nice knife
This is a quality and strong knife no problem with the knife but the sheath is terrible. I'll have to find someone to build me a sheath now. Don't go so cheap on the sheath Benchmade?

    MIXED
Just purchased this knife and think very highly of the look, feel and handle. However, I am very disappoint with the sheath!!! I am going to have to modify or have a sheath made that will make it easier and more comfortable as both of the belt attachments are not to my liking. I hope that in the future Benchmade will make a more tactical leather sheath that has the belt loop at the top of the sheath so that the knife can be carried closer to the hip and lower on the leg.

    Big EDC
This knife is a well balanced no non sense design. The G10 scales are to smooth and have no grip. Why? This is my new EDC. This blade is so balanced it even throws nice even with the asymmetrical blade. A new Benchmade classic.

    Overall good purchase.
This is the 3rd bench made knife I own. I was not disappointed at all. I took it out into the sierras for three days and put it through its paces during a recent camping trip. I used it to baton kindling for fire, chopped up branches and cleaned out some german brown we caught among many other things. In every case the blade performed well. It performs particularly well when the blade is allowed to get some purchase on whatever you are cutting into. The weight of the knife is great and very well balanced at the same time. I would have liked a little better steel on this blade, but the retention was good. After getting home, I honed it and was able to slice quickly through paper just like new.

A knife worth carrying into the wilderness.
I ride and work on trails in the wilderness and back country on a very regular basis. I am a packer (Back Country Horsemen of America in NC) so I go into the back country with horses and mules and stay several days to work on trails. I use my Arvensis for chores around camp, cutting tent pegs, used with baton to split up fire wood to assure a fire for the evening, and to trim back brush at camp and along the trail. Occasionally I even make small game traps. Yes, I put the blade though its paces every week and it preforms GREAT. I would recommend this blade to any and all outdoorsmen/women.

    Good knife for intended purpose
I like this knife as a companion to my smaller knives for the heavy duty chores. This is a good all around survival or camp knife used to chop and cut of larger materials and food. Bit of a Novelty but any time you go any where in the world where people live in survival mode everyday you will see they carry a big knife. The quality of this knife is top notch and it holds a very sharp edge for a long time.
