Hey BM,
This knife is perfect in every way for EDC. It’s light, inconspicuous, cuts like a dream, and the ergonomics are outrageous. For years I have been using a 915 Triage at work but I wanted a BM to carry 24/7 so I bought the 535 Bugout in combination/blue. This thing rips!
(Plus it’s board short friendly)
I’ll be honest it took a day to get used to it but now I’m convinced it’s the GOAT!

I was in Oregon and decided to stop in at the facility. I ended up buying one of these and getting the engraving. I previously had the mini griptilian. I liked that knife but it kept slipping out of my pocket I think because of the bulk. It finally got lost. I like this much way more anyways. I barely notice it in my pocket and it is very sharp. Love it

The Bugout is basically my dream EDC. Weight is an important factor for me and this knife is so light it can be carried with any outfit. I also love the deep carry clip. Thank you so much for putting a deep carry clip on this knife!! Steel is amazing as well! It was the sharpest knife out of the box that I have ever owned. Can’t praise it enough! Thank you Benchmade. I have the blue one now and I can’t wait to get the Ranger green model. If you make more colors I will most likely get them as well. Thanks again for EDC perfection!!

I carry this all the time and don't ever feel the weight of a heavy knife. Had it with me on a recent moose trip and used it on my bull. Started sharp and finished sharp!

Was looking at the knife for about two months and decided on getting it. Out the box was surprisingly light and sharp! I work in a tire manufacturing plant so the blue handle is a good feature because I don’t have to worry about loosing it. Only thing I would change is have the blade coated so I don’t have to keep cleaning it because I want it to last as long as possible. For the price you can’t beat it since it is a benchmade.

I broke down and bought this, little Gem fro Blade HQ. the ranger green model. It is a handsome little devil and a great light weight edc knife. A knife for a bugout situation, I think I would prefer something more substantial. But then again the first task I used it for it held up just fine. I had to dismantle and cut down a huge box that a recent car top purchase had plopped down in my living room. This box was sturdy and big and had hidden industrial sized staples hidden throughout the box. The little Bugout handled it well, I did manage to roll a bit,of the edge when I found a hiding staple, a big staple at that. A quick few swipes of the Spyderco sharp maker fixed edge and brought it back to sharp.

I was a little hesitant about buying this knife as the price seemed a bit steep for the materials used. My fears were for not this is a solid knife and well constructed with no blade play and fairly centered. I love how it just slips into my pocket and disappears with no discernible weight. I liked how it tackled the large box without any problems and I was not being gentle with the knife.

Ok Benchmade I really, like this, knife and,it has been riding in my front pocket since I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. The blade shape is outstanding and as such I have a request. Make a super bugout. Lengthen the blade to 3.5 inches, run the steel liners down the length of the handle? Put a set of green Micarta scales on it and beef the width of the blade a bit... that would be a bugout knife for sure and betmit would sell li,e crazy.oh and change the steel to either CPM S35V or CPM M4and you wont be able to keep it in stock?

Amazing knife with amazing S30V blade steel. The action is amazing and habit-worthy. I love the weight on this, it disappears in your pocket. I know many people are complaining about the "cheap feel" of the knife but I can assure you that the grivory is durable. It might feel cheap to you but it is an excellent performing knife.

The Bugout is my ideal EDC knife! It is incredibly lightweight which is perfect for days when I have to wear a suit and head into the office. The knife is well constructed and the blade steel is excellent, I really like the blue color of the handle as well as the blue accents on the thumb stud and liner. Deep pocket clip is a big plus for carrying in the office. The handle is the perfect size for my hand, and it truly excels at day to day cutting tasks.

Out of the box the blade was hair shaving sharp and the grind was perfect. The action was just a little stiff, but it was still easy to open and close with one hand.

Overall I would highly recommend this knife for light and medium duty tasks and is perfect for everyday carry.
