Posted onLove itAbsolutely love this knife it’s blade is amazingly sharp , the grip is comfortable and the knife is very light ! Perfect tactical knife
Posted onNeed to offer a tanto bladeExcellent knife, there's no questions about it, but a tanto edge would have made this a down right perfect knife for me. That's just what I prefer, so it would be nice if it were an option. I also have an Auto Stryker, a knife I've had for over 15 years. I was torn between buying another Stryker, and this. At this time, I still need more time with this knife to know if I made the right decision, but it's a solid knife and I do love it.
Posted onBest knife ever.Got this knife from a local dealer two years ago, and it's been a very excellent tool. The action is fast and very strong, great for when you need to open in one handed. I'd also like to say it's nice to see a safety that actually makes sense and is positive. The S30v is a great steel blend, Im a carpenter so it gets abused sometimes but retains most of its edge. The grips are good. the lanyard hole in the back along with the metal point extruding from the end of the handle for glass breaking are both really nice little touches. Lifesharp service Is amazing to, they clean them up and send them back shave your face sharp it's like voodoo. Definitely a good piece of equipment whould buy agian.
Posted onWill buy more of these!I've owned several top shelf folding knives. They can't touch the knives I've purchased from Benchmade. The steel is top quality, the knives are durable and reliable. The only thing I do (which I do to all my knifes) is fill in the screws with some clear guerrilla glue. This avoids loosening or loss of screws and this keeps them in the exact factory position. The Rukus II knife, I have owned two, and they are my favorite buy so far. The grips are the best, it's an locking auto knife, and the materials are the best. The only other thing I can write is that it will keep cutting and this is why I bought some more to give as gifts. I use it as my everyday carry and it hasn't failed me yet. The only downside is that the price can be a bit high for some, but you do get what you paid for so no worries.
Posted onThe knife protected me from my gun.I have the older HK branded MP5 version of this knife. It has been my EDC for six or seven years. It has been a great knife in every way. The blade takes and maintains an edge well, the blade opens and locks with an authoritative "whack" and the handle is extremely well shaped for a good grasp. Last year, I was in a tactical shooting class and had a negligent discharge while holstering a hot weapon (ironically of the HK variety). I ended up sending a 9mm slug through the top of my right thigh just below the surface of the skin. As the bullet traveled down the top of my leg, it past underneath my knife which was clipped in my right pant pocket. When the bullet past underneath the knife, the handle of the knife actually peeled the jacket off of the bullet (which exited my leg leaving a tiny exit wound where my knife was clipped) and deflected the slug so that it made a clean exit just above my knee. If the knife had not been where it was, the bullet probably would have torn my entire thigh open and shattered my knee due to how close to the surface of my thigh and the direction the bullet was traveling. The knife only suffered some minor deformation on the handle and has continued to be me EDC since. As for my leg, it was fine after a couple weeks. I can't say enough good things about this knife and I can thank it for saving my leg in my moment of stupidity. If anyone doubts the validity of this review, all I have to say is, "You can't make this stuff up!".
Posted onGreat knifeI love it, a nice sturdy design with no plastic. It’s by no means a light weight knife but that’s expected with an all metal design. The auto is super snappy and great as well. Solid knife and definitely would recommend if you have the budget for it.
Posted onPhenomenal!Ruckus ll is a superlative knife for everyday carry. It is compact and sleek. It’s color is black which means you can carry in a suit pocket or your jeans and it will fit in either.
It has been reliable in use and if it was not, I know Benchmade would fix it.
Great knife, if you get one, you will want two.
Posted onBad azzThis is the same thing as an HK model they used to sell and was branded Harley before that. Last summer I gave my brother the Harley one I'd been carrying for years because I hate harleys but he likes them. I went online to get a new one with the HK brand on it, and that was now gone too. I had to bring my original Rukus out of retirement to fill in for the Harley I bought to retire it. I was screwed. I'd bought several of these as gifts and even given away my EDC to my brother, and now I couldn't get my hands on one. Fast forward to father's day 2018. I wanted to get dad something fine, and there it was. Reincarnid as Rukus II. I customized one for dad and got another to re-retire my orginal Rukus. I'll buy a few more for myself, so I'll never have to be without one again, should benchmade make it extinct again (still not happy about Rukus fate). Although, if that happens, I'm back in the NW, and I'd have no problem heading over to slap some sense into someone. Anyway, I never give ANYTHING 5 stars (not a free meal, etc), NOTHING, but this knife! Dont be without the Rukus II! Dont get caught in a "zombie apocalypse" without one.
Posted onAnother Excellent ProductAnother outstanding product from Benchmade. Rock solid. To make it perfect, offer the tanto blade as an option.
Posted onGlad this one is back!I had one of the predecessors to this knife; the HK MP5 Auto - Tanto edge.
That knife lasted me years of constant punishment throughout various environments without fail. It felt compact in your hand, but sturdy as any.
My only complaint for this model is it doesn't come in my preferred tanto blade, and it's set-up for right hand opening.
I'd purchase an ambidextrious option right now.
