quality knife with good weight, AND it fits my hand!
I have the carbon fiber handled sheepsfoot blade. The smooth edges fit well in my pocket. If it were any nicer, it would have to be handmade, A good quality knife meant to last a lifetime.

    Grind is Too Thick
There are a lot of things I like about this knife, but the thick grind keeps it from being a great slicer. I see this as more of a light-medium duty working knife, as opposed to being a gentleman's folder.

    Very nice
Very nice. Not $140 nice, retail. Blade HQ sale $89. Although finishing is good, polishing of blade & back spine would have gone a long way to really make it pop. Just me

    Very solid Very classy
This is a very solid knife. Smooth action that is very solid when it locks in place. The g10 scales are smooth and seem like they won’t stain if you have a dirty job. The blade seems stout for such a compact knife. Perfect knife for khaki’s or shorts. Love it

    Don't fix what isn't broken
Ahh, a breath of fresh air. Slipjoints have taken a back seat to new locking systems, like benchmades commonly used and absolutely fantastic AXIS lock. But carrying a Proper over my usual EDC the G10 Griptillian has reminded me why I started carrying edged tools. While the 'walk and talk' isnt like some other folders, it's not meant to be. It is a hard working, easy maintenance knife and it shows in the S30V and Torx screws construction. A knife for anyone who uses their knives, more than just a knife to baby. A edged tool begging to get some use.

Great all around carry EDC knife
I originally purchased the red handled version which I liked very much but wanted a better grip on it, I thought I had lost it at one point and so I decided to purchase the micarta handle version. To me the micarta is the better of the two but once I found my red handle I was glad to have both either way you go it’s a great knife for the price although I do agree with another reviewer that I’d like to see it with the option for a better steel quality blade.

    Excellent idea, decent execution
I've owned a few modern slipjoints, but none are as easy to disassemble and maintain as the proper. I really like the fact that the screws use the same size tool, and having the blade run on phosphor bronze washers is a huge plus. The blade stock is nice and thin, and s30v is a pretty good material- certainly better than most other slipjoints on the market, though I do wish it was offered in 20cv. Speaking of 'druthers, the stock on the blade is thin but the grind is pretty thick. The swedge on mine was also not ground symmetrically- Benchmade is apparently still experiencing quality control issues. Sloppy grinding aside, the blade came centered, the design is good, the blade steel is okay, I really like the handle material, and I'm enjoying the knife. I'd buy it again if it was offered in a better steel and/or with a thinner grind.

Nice knife, one of the few Benchmades I got highly discounted
Great blade, good simple operation, super sharp and nicely sized. I got this on clearance with the reddish handle, which isn't so stunning, but it's still a nice basic knife.
