Posted onWould not buy againAfter carrying this knife for 6 months the rubber grip had almost completely came off. I have not used the knife much I just carry it in my pocket and the rubber still just wore out and fell apart. Seems like a pretty big design flaw. I would not purchase this knife again, unless you plan on not carrying it out using it.
Posted onNot an EDCFirst off, I love the feel of the knife. The gray rubber material has a nice grippy texture. I also think it looks sharp. However, the gray rubber material just does not hold up. It begins to peel and tear just from going in in out of your pocket. I have had mine for a year and I am about to send in for the 2nd time to have the sides replaced. I like it so I'll keep it, but I'll be looking for something more durable for an EDC knife.
Posted onGreat Knife!I’ve had this knife for a while now and I’ve been so happy with it. Opens smoothly, grip has a great feel and its great for hunting and EDC. Highly recommend!
Posted onGreat knife and great serviceI bought this knife about 6 months ago and couldn’t be happier. It works great stays sharp and the rubber handle makes it very easy to hold on to. A couple to months after I bought it the rubber started to peel off, when I sent it in it was replaced for the cost of shipping which pretty much guarantees the next knife I buy will be from benchmade.
Posted onBest Knife I've CarriedI bought this knife for hunting and all around outdoor use. This is my first Benchmade knife and i couldnt be more impressed with it.
I haven't been disappointed yet. I've skinned a few of my birds with ease using this knife. Handle has a great fit and doesn't slip at all.
I love how smooth the axis is on this knife. Opens great and feels secure. I haven't had to worry about it falling out of my pocket while hunting or hiking due to the deep pocket carry clip.
Posted onGreat knifeBought this as my first benchmade and fell in love very durable I've used it on deer ducks pigs you name it great knife great edge retention and just all around great knife
Posted onAwesomeI bought this as my daily carry knife, after losing my trusty BM Vex out in my woods cutting firewood one day. I wanted something bright and easy to see if dropped in the ferns.
It's been awesome. I've taken apart two deer with it. Perfect.
I'm seeing a bit of the wear on the grippy stuff others have mentioned. Other than that, I'd say it takes a bit of getting used to as far as putting it in or taking it out of your pocket. The tacky-feeling grippy stuff wants to grab the fabric so you have to be a bit more forceful that with a "slick" knife.
If I somehow lost it I'd run to the knife store and buy another one.
Posted onVery pleased with this knife!I’ve had this knife for only two days now and I can’t stop opening it up! It’s so smooth and has no play in the blade. I was planning on getting the Griptilian but this one caught my eye!
I liked the feel of the bigger blade and I really like this color selection. It’s a beautiful knife to look at and it opens up so smoothly you would swear it was assisted. I’ve read a lot of other reviews on this knife and some have experienced the rubber pealing back from edc?
Hopefully this is not going to be a problem because I really love the feel of the rubber grip and that’s what really sold me over the Griptilian.
This is the most expensive knife I have ever brought and so far I’m not disappointed at all. It’s beautiful looking, operation is silly smooth, and so sharp I shaved the hair off my arm.
I could feel the quality once I picked it up. It is a solid well balanced and quality built knife and Benchmade has me sold.
I’m looking forward to buying more Benchmade knifes and would highly recommend this knife as a gift for anyone, but you may be tempted to just keep it for yourself.
Posted onRubberized textured grip was awesome...at firstThe grizzly ridge was my first benchmade. I have had it a little over a year and the blade itself does not disappoint it is top notch! What sold me on it was the grips. The textured rubberized grip felt great in the hands and really have me piece of mind that I'd never lose or slip my grip on it ...fast forward a year later and the rubber had worn out around the bottom of the knife specifically the part that sticks out of your pocket when carrying it clipped I guess it wore out from being pulled and pushed in and out of my pocket and the sad thing is I'm sure even if they fix it under my warranty it's probably gonna do it again ...I emailed them today to find out if it would be covered ...but in the meantime I bought a Benchmade freek and so far I love it as much as my grizzly ridge . My advice would be to buy another benchmade with solid handles because eventually the rubber WILL wear
Posted onSuper awesome giftI bought these knives to give as gifts to my employees when they perform higher than expected. They use them every day as a utility knife in the construction industry. The life sharp program keeps all of their knives sharp and ready for use.
