    Not worth the money
Love the blade, but the handle quality is lacking. It is a rubber material that does not wear well, as I have sent the knife in twice for new handles and I haven't had it 8 months. The warranty does cover new handles but this a inconvenience and takes weeks.

    Well-made with a flaw
Overall build quality and materials are admirable. However, there are two flaws that should not be present on a knife at this price point.
First, the blade is not especially sharp OOB.
Second, the bevels have different angles: one is about 20 degrees, the other one is about 15.
Considering that this steel is not that easy to re-profile at home... this is an unpleasant surprise. Looks like the bevels have been cut by hand in a hurry or something.

    Rubber handle scales?
I love the Benchmade brand. OK?
I really dig the axis lock - I have a few knives with this type of lock and prefer it.
The shape and size of the blade and the blade material are absolutely fantastic!

But - nowhere does it specifically state or imply that the handle scales are rubber - versa flex they call it.
I have rubberized handles on a knife - I feel like I am handling a cheap Kershaw knife.

I just hate the knife because of the handle material.
This is one expensive piece of sh*t that I'll never use.

    A pleasant surprise!
I recently made a purchase of 3 knives including this one. Sometimes it’s essy to think more expensive means better quality, With this knife I think you get WAY more value for your money. Very grippy handle that is really comfortable and the knife draws extraordinarily smooth. If you are looking for a high quality edc knife that isn’t going to break the bank, the mini freek is an excellent choice. I bought this with 2 other knives thinking it will be a good back up and it quickly became my go to edc.

    Awesome Knife!
This is my first Benchmade knife, but it definitely wont be my last. Great quality knife, with very well made components. The grip and feel of this knife is great, it sets in your hand just perfect. The axis lock is great, never had an issue. Knife is super sharp and durable, I carry it everyday!

    I'm a Freek Fan
I just love VERY grippy handle. When handling a sharp knife, should the handle allow you to have a comfortable and secure grip the entire time you're using it? This knife does just that, even when wet. I know that when I hold this knife in either hand, it will not slip out the entire time I'm cutting or carving. This is an awesome slicer with an edge retention that lasts and lasts. They should have called this knife "The Griptilian Ultra" because this the grippiest and pocket knife I've ever handled, and I've handled lots of knives. I have several models Benchmade knives and this is truly my favorite.

When you need a smaller Freek.
I bought and liked the 560 Freek. The blade shape, feel of grip & in the hand and S30V steel are highly desired, in my opinion. I have small hands, so a smaller knife is a better fit. The 565 Mini Freek is just that and I like it. I hope to carry it everyday for a long time.
