    Not Dependable
I've had this knife for over a year now and I have sent it back 3 times for repairs. I will be sending it back for the 4th time now since the assist spring broke. I thought it would be a dependable product but if it has a small amount of dust it will sound like sand. If you need it for everyday use don't buy it. It's well made but not very dependable.

    Vallation
Solid Knife, constructed like a tank, although I find that the knifes steel blade does not appear to hone up like my past Benchmade's. Will ship it to Benchmade to see what their blade sharpening experts can do with it. I use this as an EDC; PROBABLY should be considered more of a duty knife.

    Poor Spring Quality
I've had this knife for about a year and use it every day and depend on it, but the springs from the locking mechanism have failed 3 times and the mainspring for assisted opening just broke. I would not buy this knife if you need something dependable. Its nice and all but this is more like a novelty knife and it also gets clogged with just lint from your pocket. Very poor design.

Need to see it to appreciate it! But trust me you WILL!
I had seen this blade but I looked like it would be like carrying around a sharp brick. This wasn't the case at all. Dont get me wrong its BIG but it feels really nice in hand and carries great with the deep pocket clip. IMHO its assists action is better than the benchmade full auto action with little kick back but a firm lock up. It feels like it could really deliver alot of finesse or solid strikes and blows. Best of both worlds! Before you form an opinion on it, do yourself a favor and hold one. You'll be surprised. I was. I cant wait to get my hands on the mini version now. This knife has made it to the front of my EDC rotation.
*Quick disclaimer* I have LARGE hands so keep that in mind, like I said it's a BIG folder.

    Full-sized folder!
I got this for outdoor (camping, etc) use. It is quite a knife! Second only to a fixed blade and a close second at that. It's just the right size and weight for more heavy-duty tasks, but still with a blade that can easily slice through stuff (unlike the full-sized Loco, which had an extra-thick blade, and which was the folder I was using previously to getting the Vallation). While not a fixed blade like the Bushcrafter (the ultimate fixed blade outdoor knife in my opinion), for general outdoor use it's the next best thing to a fixed blade - certainly one of the best folders you can get.

Fantastic Product (but please make a smaller version)
In addition to a Vallation, I own a mini-Barrage, a Boost and, most recently, a Volli. All are axis assist, which I really like, even preferring it over fully automoatic Benchmade knives. All are great knives, superbly engineered and made with high quality materials. My favorate, though, is the Vallation

At roughly 8.5 inches long when open, this is a big knife, but one with relatively slender lines compared with, let's say, the Ademas. It feels very solid with a heft greatly exceeding my other Benchmade knives. Due to its size and heft, however, it doesn't work as well as an EDC for my line of work as do the Volli and mini-Barrages.

The only solution to this problem, in my opinion, is for Benchmade to make a smaller version of it, at which time time I'll own another great, Benchmade knife.

    Awesome knife
Well this is my first benchmade .. And I say first because I am so satisfied with quality, finish ,feel action, weight .. I cannot say enough it is worth every penny .. u rarely find anything u can say that about anymore but I say it with confidence on this .. the feel when u hold it is it belongs in your hand .. I tend to lose things but I will not lose this .. I love it .. and I am a benchmade fan for real now ..
