I have mixed feelings on this review. I'd like to start off by saying the knives are amazing, they have definitely earned their reputation. It's the legendary customer service which disappointed me however. If you need a knife sharpened or a new belt clip, then yes they do a great job. My gripe is,when I
purchases alot of knives from Benchmade to give out as gifts. I was a super fan of BM knives, and was trying to show their quality and customer service reputation to my family and friends.The problem I ran into,was when giving a knife gift, it's a personal item I discovered. Not everyone has the same tastes, and not everyone liked the choice of knives I had picked for them. So, I would bring them back to Benchmade to exchange it for something more to thier liking. I had purchased over a dozen knives, and yes probably returned half of those. But, it was on last trip to Benchmade, they gave me alot of grief about returning knives "too much". Granted, I returned half of what I purchased. I had planed on purchasing atleast 20 to 30 more knives from Benchmade, but after being scolded in front of everyone, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Ultimately I feel it's thier lose, not mine. Which is a shame, because I really did enjoy Benchmade. Since,I've found that their are just as good if not better guality knives out there, it was Benchmade's customer service reputation that truly drew me in, in the first place. But,that didn't hold up? I guess, what I'm seeing is, maybe we shouldn't meet our heros? You decide.
