Benchmade Adamas®: Fifteen Years Proven. The Best Just Got Better.

The Adamas® doesn’t need to prove itself. Fifteen years in the field have done that. Custom knifemaker Shane Sibert’s knife has earned its reputation as one of the most respected tactical platforms through strength, durability, and hard-use reliability on and off the battlefield.

Fifteen years later, that reputation is not up for debate. What is new is how far the platform can go without losing sight of what made it trusted in the first place. The new 275-05 Adamas® and 2750-06 Auto Adamas® bring marbled carbon fiber scales and MagnaCut® stainless steel to the full-size platform. The result is a combination of tactical capability and refined aesthetics that elevate a proven design beyond purely tactical applications.

Fifteen Years in the Field

For fifteen years, the Adamas® has stood for strength without hesitation. It is the kind of knife built for users who expect their gear to work hard, hold up, and earn its place through use. Substantial in hand and uncompromising in purpose, the Adamas® has long carried a reputation as a hard-use folder designed for demanding environments.

That reputation comes from a clear point of view: build the knife to handle serious work first. Every part of the Adamas® has always served that purpose, from its full-size presence and secure lockup to the confidence it gives in hand. It was never designed to be delicate or overly refined. It was designed to be trusted.

What Adamas® Users Say

The Adamas® reputation is echoed by the people who carry it. Users consistently point to the same qualities that define the platform: strength, confidence, durability, and the feeling of carrying a knife built for serious use.

Daniel K., a 33-year police officer, says he has "always carried at least 1 Benchmade with me on duty." Jason A., a firefighter and outdoor enthusiast, calls it a knife that has "succeeded in all aspects" of daily use. Danny C. put it simply: he needed "a big strong knife for anything that can be thrown at me in my daily duties," and the Adamas® "fits the bill perfectly." One owner with over 25 years working in the DoD arena described it plainly as "a dependable knife that you can trust your life on," adding that when his time is done, it will be passed on to the next generation.

That same trust shows up just as often outside professional use. Taylor B. put it simply after a year of daily carry: "Loved this knife... would definitely recommend this knife to anyone." Brian S., five Benchmades in, said this one was "by far the most rugged tough knife so far." Richard S., a first-time buyer, summed up what draws so many people to the platform in the first place: the perfect size to carry anywhere, "but large enough for most jobs that come your way on a regular basis." He added that he "gets a lot of compliments" on how the knife looks, a preview of the exact contrast the new full-size models are built around.

The Adamas® was built to be trusted, and the people carrying it into demanding, real-world situations keep proving that it is.

What's New

For the first time, the full-size Adamas® receives the elevated material configuration already proven on the Mini Adamas®. The 275-05 Adamas® and 2750-06 Auto Adamas® bring marbled carbon fiber scales, FDE PVD-coated steel liners, matched barrel spacers, and a deep-carry clip to a platform already known for hard-use performance.

Each update adds to the experience without pulling the knife away from its purpose. Marbled carbon fiber brings meaningful strength-to-weight performance with a touch of EDC style, giving the handle a lighter, more refined feel while maintaining the rigidity expected from a full-size tactical folder. The FDE PVD-coated steel liners preserve the structure and strength at the core of the platform, while the matched hardware gives the full-size Adamas® a more complete, elevated finish.

At the blade, MagnaCut® stainless steel maintains the standard for toughness expected of the platform while adding significant corrosion resistance, giving the Adamas® the kind of versatility a hard-use knife needs when conditions, tasks, and environments change. The result is still unmistakably Adamas®: strong, capable, and ready for serious work, now with a higher standard of materials and finish.

Manual or Auto: Two Ways to Carry the Standard

While both full-size models share the same MagnaCut® steel, FDE PVD liners, and marbled carbon fiber scales, their deployment action defines their role in your setup.

The 275-05 Adamas® runs on the AXIS® Lock, offering fluid thumb-stud deployment with variable speed control and quiet operation. It delivers strong, repeatable lockup that holds firm under pressure; fast and safe closing; and fully ambidextrous operation for confident use with either hand. For users who value quiet operation, mechanical simplicity, and deliberate control, or for those carrying in restrictive jurisdictions, the manual Adamas® is the natural choice.

The 2750-06 Auto Adamas® runs on the Auto AXIS® mechanism, delivering immediate firing engineered for gloved hands or emergency deployment. An integrated safety switch along the handle spine prevents accidental pocket deployment or unintended lock disengagement during hard use, bringing that same platform-wide dependability to an instant, one-handed action. For users who need immediate access when seconds matter, the Auto Adamas® is built for exactly that moment.

Built to Be Used. Finished to Be Noticed.

The new full-size Adamas® models live in the space between two ideas that do not usually share the same ground: hard-use tactical performance and a more premium material expression. Up close, the marbled carbon fiber, FDE PVD-coated liners, and matched details reward a second look. Pull back, and the silhouette is still unmistakably Adamas®: substantial, capable, and built for demanding use.

That contrast is the point. These knives were not designed to trade strength for appearance or soften the platform’s identity. They show that a tactical knife can bear refined styling without compromising durability or performance. They’re built to handle the unforgiving and finished to stand apart.

Carry the Standard

Fifteen years proved what the Adamas® was built to do. It earned its reputation through strength, reliability, and hard-use performance in the environments where gear has to hold up.

The 275-05 Adamas® and 2750-06 Auto Adamas® carry that standard forward with a higher level of material refinement, bringing marbled carbon fiber, FDE PVD-coated steel liners, matched details, and MagnaCut® steel to the full-size platform. The result is an Adamas® that feels elevated without losing sight of what made the name trusted in the first place.

Same mission. A higher standard.
