The SlipRidge™ family meets that standard with three tools built to work together: a purpose-built fixed blade for gutless-method processing, a dedicated field-dressing folder for skinning and detail work, and a gut hook for clean opening cuts.
The SlipRidge™ kit was designed specifically with the gutless method in mind. Instead of opening the body cavity first, the hunter removes the hide and works from the outside of the animal to separate the quarters and access the meat. Because the work stays largely around the exterior of the carcass, control and blade geometry matter more than length, and the SlipRidge™ knives are built shorter than some other field knife options as a result. Both knives are sized and shaped for precise work around joints, bone, and tighter areas, while the Hook helps open and remove the hide without puncturing the carcass beneath.

Positioned in the Hunt lineup between the Saddle Mountain Skinner and the Steep Country, it fills the gap for hunters who want more capability than a small skinner but more agility than a full-size field knife. The 3.7" drop-point blade is cut from MagnaCut® super steel and finished with our SelectEdge® ultra-fine sharpening process. Its high tip and large belly provide the edge needed to process big game while keeping the blade agile for tighter, more controlled work.
The handle is designed to prevent rolling in hand, with a deep finger choil for added safety and contoured pinch points that support more precise work during detail cuts. Hunters can choose between two variations: the 15650 in Stabilized Wood, the lighter of the two at 3.6 oz, bringing a more traditional look along with resistance to moisture and temperature swings, or the 15650-01 in Rust Orange G10, built for high visibility, extra rigidity, and durability in wet or rough conditions.
Every 15650 ships with a modular OD Green Boltaron® sheath built to carry the knife on its own or pair with the SlipRidge™ Hook as an attachment, covered in the next section.
The SlipRidge™ Hook: Clean Access Without Compromise
The 11OR SlipRidge™ Hook gives hunters a dedicated tool for the clean opening cuts that start the skinning process. Compact, focused, and purpose-built, it helps open the hide with control while keeping the primary blade free for the more detailed cutting work that follows. Designed to support both traditional field dressing and gutless-method work, the hook helps hunters create clean access with greater control over where the cut starts and travels. It prevents punctures and works easily through fibrous hide that quickly wears edges, making it especially useful when leaving the body cavity intact. It is a small tool with a specific role: to make the first cuts cleaner, more controlled, and more efficient.
The hook is cut from 440C stainless steel and finished in Rust Orange Cerakote®, weighing in at under two ounces, so it is easy to keep in the kit without adding meaningful weight. It comes with its own OD Green Boltaron® sheath, built to function as a modular attachment that can clip onto the 15650 SlipRidge™ Fixed blade’s sheath or be carried independently to augment existing tools.
For a complete field setup, the SlipRidge™ Combo bundles the fixed blade and hook together: the 15650-COMBO in Stabilized Wood, or the 15650-01-COMBO in Rust Orange G10. Either way, the hook and fixed blade share a sheath system. The decision comes down to which fixed blade handle best fits the hunter’s preference.

Where the fixed blade handles primary big-game processing, and the hook supports skinning, the SlipRidge™ folding knife is built for versatility. Designed to live in a pocket rather than a sheath, it gives hunters a dedicated field-dressing companion for skinning, caping, and controlled cuts during harvest.
The 3.5" modified clip-point blade gives the SlipRidge™ the control needed for detail work in the field. Cut from MagnaCut® steel and finished with the SelectEdge® ultra-fine edge sharpening process, it is built for clean, precise cuts in demanding conditions, while Benchmade’s next-gen AXIS® Lock adds the durability and reliability expected from a serious hunting folder. Full liner construction reinforces the handle, while contoured pinch points give hunters added control when the work gets more detailed.
The folder also introduces one of the most practical features in the SlipRidge™ system: user-removable handle scales. By allowing hunters to remove the scales for cleaning or customization, the design addresses one of the biggest challenges of field dressing, where debris, blood, and tissue can find their way into places that are difficult to clean. The removable scales hide the pivot to help keep debris out and maintain smooth action.
Like the fixed blade, hunters can choose between the 15090 in Stabilized Wood, bringing the same traditional look as the fixed blade, or the 15090-01 in Rust Orange G10, built for added visibility, durability, and grip in wet or rough conditions.

For hunters focused on reducing carry load, 50262 Carbon Fiber scales bring a sleek, lightweight option that reduces weight without sacrificing strength, while 50261 Black Canvas Micarta scales add a rugged, tactile feel that develops character as they patina over time.
Because the scales are user-removable, hunters can tune the folder for grip, carry weight, visibility, or cleanup with a straightforward, no-fuss swap by simply removing the exterior handle screws and pocket clip with a T6 Torx wrench.
