Who is the Benchmade Infidel® designed for? +

The Infidel® is a 'Black Class' tactical tool specifically engineered for military, law enforcement, and emergency responders. Its design prioritizes rapid, one-handed deployment in high-pressure situations where speed is a necessity. While it has significant "cool factor" for collectors, every feature, from the grip texture to the firing mechanism, is built to meet the rigorous standards of professional tactical use and personal defense.

What makes the Infidel®'s firing button different from other OTF knives? +

Unlike most Out-the-Front (OTF) knives that place the actuation switch on the narrow side of the handle, the Infidel® features a front-loaded firing button on the broad face. This oversized, bi-directional slider provides superior thumb leverage and a more natural ergonomic path. This unique placement makes the knife significantly easier to operate with tactical gloves or under stress compared to traditional side-mounted switches.

Is the Infidel® 3300BK fully ambidextrous? +

Yes. The Infidel® is one of the few high-end OTFs that is 100% ambidextrous. Because the firing button is centered on the handle face and the double-edged dagger blade is perfectly symmetrical, the knife functions identically for both left- and right-handed users. The deep-carry pocket clip is also designed to facilitate a secure, centered carry that is accessible from either side of a belt or pocket.

What is the benefit of D2 Tool Steel on a tactical automatic knife? +

D2 is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel prized for exceptional hardness (60–62 HRC) and wear resistance, meaning the Infidel®'s edge holds up under repeated hard use without rolling or degrading. For a tactical knife that needs to perform on demand, D2 delivers the toughness and edge retention that softer steels can't match.
