Full Specifications

Smaller size, same big bang. When the Claymore first exploded onto the market, it took many by surprise, and the 9570BK Mini Claymore brings that same power in a compact variant. Featuring 154CM stainless steel, proven tough and reliable for hard use, the Mini Claymore features our new push-button integrated safety mechanism that allows the user to rapidly unlock and deploy the blade in a single, smooth motion by pulling backward slightly while depressing the button. Retaining the original textured Black Grivory® handle and the Cobalt Black Cerakote® blade finish, the Mini Claymore just gets better.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the new Claymore® opening mechanism different from a traditional push-button automatic? +

A traditional push-button automatic has a separate safety switch to disengage before pressing the deployment button. The new Claymore® and Mini Claymore® combine these controls in one deliberate back-and-down motion, so you can disengage the safety and deploy the blade without changing your hand position.

How do I open the new Claymore® or Mini Claymore® with its integrated safety? +

Hold the knife securely and keep your fingers and surrounding objects clear of the blade’s opening path. Place your thumb on the textured safety slider built into the deployment button. Pull the slider slightly backward while pressing the button down in one deliberate back-and-down motion. Keep a firm grip as the blade deploys. A slight click when you press the button is normal. Does the new Claymore® have a separate safety switch? +

No. The new Claymore® and Mini Claymore® integrate the safety slider into the deployment button. Sliding back and pressing down is one deliberate motion that disengages the safety and deploys the blade.

Why did Benchmade change the Claymore’s deployment mechanism? +

The updated mechanism combines the safety and deployment controls to make the Claymore more intuitive to use. One deliberate back-and-down thumb motion replaces two separate steps, providing faster access while maintaining a single controlled hand position.
